Take to the Air With Entourage - or Just Watch These Clips

Entourage is (finally) back Sept. 7, but if you want to see the show's season five premiere early, just book yourself a Virgin America flight from NYC to Vegas. For all of September, that flight will be rebranded Entourage Air with special Entourage-themed goodies - and, starting on Sept. 4, a screening of the show's premiere episode.

The inaugural flight - which has to be quite the hot ticket - includes a party with the cast and Virgin founder Richard Branson on the JFK end of the trip and a party at the Palms Casino Resort's Playboy Club after the flight lands in Vegas. (What, they couldn't throw a party on the plane, too?) If you can't make that reservation, no worry: all first-class passengers will be treated as Entourage Class throughout the promotion, which includes champagne, noise-canceling headphones, Godiva chocolates, Kiehl's goodies, Altoids (Altoids?), and Entourage Air-branded blankets and eye masks.

But if you're not an Ari Gold-style high roller, don't worry. There are other ways to get an early glimpse of the Entourage premiere - like a couple of clips just below the jump. The show opens with Vince trying to get back on his feet after the shocking failure of Medellin, first taking refuge in Mexico, and then trying to decide whether to hop back into the game. Discovery to Launch All-Green Channel

In these days of growing environmental awareness, it's not unusual for a network to have one or two TV series - or, in the case of NBC, a whole week - dedicated to all things green. But on June 4, Discovery will trump them all, giving green issues their own channel.

Planet Green will show up wherever Discovery Home currently is on your cable box, and it's billing itself as the first ever 24/7 green network. Already, it has a slew of star-studded programs helping it on its way. A few examples:

Greensburg - Pictured above, this documentary series from Leonardio DiCaprio's production company follows the green rebuilding of a town in Kansas following its destruction by a tornado.
The Green Life - Entourage's Adrian Grenier will take viewers on a tour of his own environmentally aware life, including the green renovation of his LA home.
Emeril Green - Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse will show families how to cook meals using fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients.
Battleground Earth: Ludacris vs. Tommy Lee - The craziest of all, this series pits Ludacris and Tommy Lee against each other to "battle against the toxic forces destroying Mother Earth" as they travel around the country on the greenest tours possible.

There are several news programs lined up, too, as well as series like Stuff Happens (hosted by Bill Nye!) and Wrecklamation, described as "recycling on steroids."

I'm curious to see several of the series, especially Greensburg and a home-improvement show called Wa$ted hosted by Annabelle Gurwitch of Dinner and a Movie. But I'm wondering: Is this more green programming than you're ready for? Do you think you'll check any of the shows out? And, as a side note, since they've already got Tom Green hosting a program, which other Green-named celebrity will be next? Seth Green, Brian Austin Green, Eva Green, I'm looking at you.

"Entourage," "Conchords" Keep Flying for HBO

The guys that keep me laughing on HBO Sunday nights will be back next year for another round. HBO announced today that "Entourage" and "Flight of the Conchords" will return with new seasons in 2008.

The news is no surprise for "Entourage," which snagged a bunch of Emmy nominations and routinely gets about 3 million viewers the first time each new episode airs. But I was a little worried about my "Conchords." References to "Business Time" and "Robots" have become standard among my friends, and when I was at the TCA press tour, it seemed like every critic in the country was crowing about the show. But I still couldn't tell how widespread its reach was; Zap2it says its premiere got about a million viewers, but I haven't heard about the ratings since then. Still, they must be good enough if HBO is continuing the series, which the network's press release today called "a show to watch."

One more bit of good news from the press release: The Conchords plan to follow up their recent EP with a full-length album in January 2008. I think that's worthy of a binary solo.

The Results Are In: Recast Grease!

Every Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie. The reader who submits the best cast wins a BuzzSugar t-shirt!

When recasting these iconic movies, it's so hard to find actors who could live up to the roles made classic by the original performers, but all of you who submitted lists did well to retain the spirit of Grease with your picks! I thought the much-suggested idea of putting Zooey Deschanel in the role of Rizzo was super fun. Christina Ricci would make an excellent Rizzo as well because, as CaterpillarGirl says of her idea, she is the bad girl.

I also loved a lot of the names put forth for Danny, like prbeachbum's James Franco, Wilmer Valderrama as suggested by alynn, and legaeagle's idea to use James Marsden. Finally, many of the ideas for Principal McGee were fantastic, and I especially liked roseannadanna's pick of Allison Janney, along with the ultimate musical dame Julie Andrews, as suggested by Atatakai Sunshine.

Adrian Grenier's Dad-umentary

Before he was Vincent Chase on "Entourage," Adrian Grenier was a kid who wanted to know his dad better. In 1999, Grenier set out to reconnect with his estranged father, and filmed the process as his first directorial project.

The result is Shot in the Dark, a documentary which the publicity materials describe as "a poignant, often-amusing road trip from New York to Ohio, spiced by interviews with strangers and relatives about the meaning of fatherhood – and a parent's impact on one’s sense of self."

The trailer looks sentimental but promising. Adrian is pretty easy on the eyes, and the fact that he did this before "hitting it big" makes the project seem more truthful.

Recast Results: "The Brady Bunch"

Every Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie and the winner gets a BuzzSugar t-shirt!

Here I was thinking "The Brady Bunch" would be the hardest Recast of all, given the large cast, but once again you all surprised and delighted me with your lists. I especially enjoyed catstarr's mega-celebrity cast list - while Paris Hilton doesn't seem to adopt the, uh, Brady value system there is something intrinsically Marcia-like about her.

I also think legaleagle's pick of John Krasinski as Greg Brady is adorable. And I must say Yoshi Unique's idea of Jackie Chan and Salma Hayek heading up the Brady clan would be perfect for a 21st century "Brady Bunch."

Overall, however, my favorite cast list comes from celebrity_soup! Congrats, celebrity_soup!

TV Preview: An "Entourage" Outing

This Sunday night at 10 p.m., HBO's "Entourage" returns with the second episode of the season's second half, of which we had a chance to get a sneak peek. PopSugar recently interviewed the adorable Emmanuelle Chriqui, who plays E's girlfriend. Last week, they celebrated Vince's birthday, and this week, E plans a romantic weekend with Sloan, but he can't seem to break it to Vince that they want to go solo. How does Eric handle telling his BFF and A-list celebrity friend that he's not invited? Tune in on Sunday night and see what happens; in the meantime, figure out which "Entourage" buddy you are.

I'm a sucker for quizzes that seek to determine what TV characters I'm most like - whether it's the women of "Desperate Housewives" or the doctors on "Grey's." So even though it's meant for guys, I just had to take this "Entourage" quiz to find out which guy is the most like me. I'm apparently "smart and sweet" like Eric, making me wonder if every woman who takes this quiz will end up as an Eric. (I kinda wish I'd gotten Drama.) TV Preview: "Entourage" Season Three, Part Two

Is pining for Vince turning Ari into a softie? Is Vince's hot new female agent (Carla Gugino) making him act like a wuss? Will the practice of agency "flirting" give way to actual agent flirting? These are the big questions as HBO's "Entourage" starts up the second half of its third season this Sunday, April 8, at 10 P.M. EDT. At least with "Entourage," we know that getting those questions answered will be a blast. What is it about watching these guys that just makes me want to take shots of Patron and sit by the pool all day?

I got an early look at the first two episodes, and I can assure you that the series is still on top of its game. The episode airing this Sunday night is more of a welcome-back romp than a vehicle for plot development, but it's a good setup for what's to come. Ari Gold is on the verge of a rather unusual breakdown, Turtle and Drama are picking up chicks at the dog park, and Eric is still trying to strike a balance between Vince and Sloan.

Things really heat up in next Sunday's episode, though, when Vince realizes his new agent is impossible to ignore. Need a refresher? You can buy the first part of season three on DVD. Or, to watch the teaser for part two of season three, read more
