Taylor Swift kept busy this weekend with a styled showing at not one, but two awards shows. She started off in a sweet, cream Maria Lucia Hohan frock at the Kids' Choice Awards, where she took home the "Big Help" blimp, presented by Michelle Obama, for her anti-bullying advocacy work and aid to tornado victims. She then jetted off to Vegas for the Academy of Country Music Awards, where she took home entertainer of the year for the second time. Taylor went sleek and sexy in J. Country music's leading ladies stepped up their red-carpet A-game for last night's Academy of Country Music Awards, donning diaphanous floor-length gowns, sporty minidresses, and slick LBDs for the occasion. While we can always count on songstress Carrie Underwood to deliver her signature Old Hollywood glam - this time in a strapless Abed Mahfouz couture creation - the evening's entertainer of the year Taylor Swift mixed it up with blunt bangs, sultry eye makeup, and a modern white J. Mendel number. LeAnn Rimes jumped on the Stella McCartney bandwagon in one of the designer's ultracool sporty-meets-chic mesh-infused minis, Miranda Lambert (who nabbed both album of the year and female vocalist top honors) radiated in a gilded Randi Rahm halter-style gown, and Nicole Kidman looked supersophisticated in a collared L'Wren Scott LBD. Last night, Taylor Swift won the Entertainer of the Year Award at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Swift gave a heartfelt thank-you speech upon receiving the award, and also performed her song "Mean" to an enthusiastic crowd. My tween-age sister is a huge Taylor Swift fan, and she recently sent me the link to the video "Back to December." The video, directed by Yoann Lemoine, was shot in upstate New York, and has a completely covetable look. Kenny Chesney: Entertainer of the Year

For the third year in a row, Kenny Chesney was named Entertainer of the Year at the 42nd Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards. Other honorees included George Strait and Carrie Underwood, while Brooks and Dunn took home an unprecedented fourteenth award for Top Vocal Duo.

The AP continues:

Veteran singer-songwriter Bill Anderson...seemed touched that older artists weren't forgotten. "I'm old enough to be Carrie Underwood's grandfather," the 69-year-old said of the 24-year-old singer.

"I would not be here if it were not for 'American Idol,'" [Underwood] said as she collected her vocal award. "Thank you, fans. God bless you."
