George, Leo, Claire, Rooney, and More Continue the Award Show Fun at AFI

Award season continued today with the AFI Awards in Beverly Hills. The organization honors 10 outstanding movies and films, while also recognizing achievements with their special awards. George Clooney's The Descendants is among the big-screen honorees, which also include Moneyball, Bridesmaids, J. Edgar, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and The Help. Leonardo DiCaprio and Rooney Mara, in Lanvin, came out to represent their films as did Jessica Chastain, Octavia Spencer, and Chloe Moretz. It was just the latest suited-up appearance for Leo and George since they also stepped out for last night's Critics' Choice Awards. George had girlfriend Stacy Keibler by his side on the carpet, but it was George and Brad Pitt's bromance inside that took the spotlight.

Representing the small screen were Claire Danes and Aaron Paul, whose respective Homeland and Breaking Bad got recognition in the TV category along with Modern Family and The Good Wife. Claire will be back in front of the cameras for Sunday's Golden Globes since she's nominated for best actress - make sure to place your Golden Globe ballot picks before the big show!

Washington DC Named Fittest City

While running for president, Barack Obama's commitment to working out daily made headlines. Looks like his influence is rubbing off since our nation's capital was named fittest city.

Not usually thought of a health-conscious place, Washington DC, took the top ranking by the American College of Sports Medicine in their second annual American Fitness Index (AFI). Cities are ranked by a number of individual factors and local health resources. The percentage of residents who smoke or who are overweight, are factored into the index along with statistics on regular physical activity and number of servings of fruits and veggies eaten daily. These personal details are counted up alongside information on the number of parks, farmers markets, primary healthcare providers, and crime rates of the region. AFI's 10 Top 10 Films: Do You Agree?

This week, the American Film Institute announced its choices for the 10 greatest movies in each of 10 genres, ranging from fantasy to epic to mystery. To create the list, AFI chose 50 films in each of the categories, then handed out ballots to 1,500 greats from the film community, who narrowed the choices down to the final winners. Lists like this are simply meant to be debated, of course, so I'm curious to hear your take on which films are deserving and which were left out. Brad, Leo, and George Bring Their Good Looks Inside the AFI Awards

The AFI Awards got even more attractive when Brad Pitt showed up wearing a blue suit in LA this afternoon. George Clooney got the hotness started as he posed for cameras at the beginning of the event, while Leonardo DiCaprio followed in a sexy gray jacket and unbuttoned shirt. The men all have leading roles in films being honored by AFI, including Moneyball, The Descendants, and J. Edgar. Inside, Brad chatted with Clint Eastwood, George got together with his young costar Nick Krause, and Leo met up with his Romeo & Juliet leading lady, Claire Danes, who was on hand to represent Homeland. There were plenty more famous faces at the show since Armie Hammer, Jessica Chastain, Shailene Woodley, and Rooney Mara all popped up for the presentation as well.
