Wedding Party Moments: A Bridal Shower, 90210-Style

Apparently Adrianna and Navid aren't joking around with this whole wedding idea on 90210. I still kind of expect it to fall apart because of pressure from Navid's family or something, but at the very least, Adrianna gets a bridal shower on tonight's episode. And oh, what a shower it is. In the clip below, Annie, Naomi, Silver, and even ~~Aunt Becky~~ Debbie and the drama teacher end up modeling toilet paper wedding gowns. As if that's not weird enough, the runway strutting is set to Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy." Um, do today's 17-year-olds even know "I'm Too Sexy"?

Also, in another clip, Naomi - green with envy that Annie might be flirting with Liam - slashes a cake shaped like a baby. Lovely.

90210 Fans Past and Present: Excited For Donna's Return?

Tonight's episode of 90210 marks the return of Donna Martin to the famous Zip code.

The preview clips for "Okaeri, Donna!" reminded me that Tori Spelling was no wallflower while portraying the sidekick to Kelly (Jennie Garth) and Brenda (Shannen Doherty) in the old-school 90210. Over time, she gave this character an almost goofy, comedic slant.

From what I've seen of this episode so far, it looks like Donna is still the same lovable airhead fans came to expect. But I'm wondering: Is Donna's return a welcome one? Or not so much? And will it get you watching tonight?

TV Tonight: 90210 Is Back - Will It Be Better?

I don't know about you, but my love-hate relationship with the CW's 90210 reboot has endured. Therefore, I'm feeling both trepidation and excitement for tonight's return of the show.

When we last saw our troubled friends from the famous zip code, all kinds of drama was a brewin': Something is seriously wrong with Silver based on her erratic mood swings; Ethan caught Annie using Rhonda's sob story in acting class and is not too pleased with her; and Naomi's hot bar guy, Liam, is peeved at her for sending him back to high school. It's all very sordid and complicated and has potential to build into good TV so I've got my fingers crossed for tonight.

New 90210 boss Rebecca Rand Kirshner has promised that this week's episode, titled "Life's a Drag," marks the beginning of improvements we'll be seeing from here on out. I'm cautiously optimistic, as already word is spreading that the new sheriff in town isn't afraid to make some major and much-needed changes (like this one - huge spoiler, so click with caution).

One thing the show was missing? A real bad boy - and it looks like they're going to fill that hole with Liam tonight via . . . drag racing? Hmmm. Also there's this from the CW: "Silver takes a class assignment a little too far when she creates a video that documents her love for Dixon." I'm wondering if by "her love for Dixon" they mean "sex tape?" Sorry, pulling head out of gutter now.

We couldn't believe they were remaking 90210, and then we couldn't wait to see what the heck it would look like. Brenda was back! So was Kelly! Soon enough, though, it became apparent that this reboot had a ways to go before it could live up to its predecessor - and yet it was still must-see TV because of its pure silliness. The Wire's David Simon has told Broadcasting & Cable that he wants to make a movie about Donnie Andrews, the real-life Omar who robbed drug dealers.
Reuters reports that Bill Clinton will be among the first guests on Elvis Costello's talk/music show.
The Osbournes are headed to Fox for a new variety show that might be paired with American Idol next year, TV Week reports.
According to Billboard, the Flaming Lips are showing their Christmas movie, Christmas on Mars, at the festivals they're playing up until the movie is released on DVD later this year.
E! reports that Jamie-Lynn Sigler will join the cast of Entourage for a few episodes, playing herself.
The Hollywood Reporter has the news that the Sundance Institute has established a submission deadline for the 2009 festival: September 8, 2008.
Spike Lee is on board to film performances of the Broadway show Passing Strange, writes Variety.
90210 has added two new members to its cast, Zap2it reports - including the actress currently best known for modeling Case 24 on Deal or No Deal.

It looks like we weren't the only ones gabbing about the big entertainment stories this week! Grey's Anatomy ignited quite a response by ending its season with a shocking death. The news is in about all the series cancellations and renewals, and not everyone is pleased. Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes shocked viewers

90210 Moves to Mondays and More Schedule Switcheroos on The CW's Fall Schedule

Come Fall, the only recognizable thing about The CW's schedule will be The Vampire Diaries. Everything else is getting a major overhaul. While the network is keeping a lot of their series, nearly all of them are shifting times or days. 90210 is moving to Mondays, bumping Gossip Girl back an hour; Hart of Dixie will now be on Tuesdays before the new show Emily Owens, M.D.; and Supernatural has finally made it out of the Friday doldrums and been placed in a prime Wednesday night spot.
