First Look: Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino in Righteous Kill

Awesomely, a teaser trailer has arrived for the highly anticipated crime thriller Righteous Kill, which has brought together Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino for the first time since they starred together in Heat (1995). Both men look grizzled and tired, which works quite well for the weathered old cops they're portraying. The two are veteran NYC policemen trying to hunt down a serial killer who targets recently acquitted criminals. Though it's just a teaser trailer, it's still totally exciting to see these two powerhouses onscreen together. Righteous Kill is scheduled to open September 12. To check out the teaser, read more.

The "Sex and the City" movie will open on May 30, 2008, so mark your calendars! Also, the cast of this movie now includes Jennifer Hudson.
Kanye West and 50 Cent both had albums coming out this week and you all (correctly) presumed Kanye's album would do better. Check out Kanye's video for "The Good Life."
Fall TV is almost starting up so get excited! I've finished viewing all the new shows, so check out my takes on each of them with my Pilot Watch posts. Also, I've rounded up the top 5 new shows you can definitely skip this fall, and 5 I think could go either way. Stay tuned for Monday's post of the top 5 shows you can't miss.
Speaking of fall entertainment, I have three more Fall Movie Previews for you: the fall movies for and about women (including Elizabeth: The Golden Age, starring Cate Blanchett), horror films (including Sweeney Todd starring Johnny Depp) and the dramatic dramas (like December Boys starring Daniel Radcliffe).

Kanye vs. 50 Cent: Whose Album Will Sell Better?

So, who's going to be the king of hip-hop? Kanye West and 50 Cent go head-to-head today with the release of their new albums, Kanye's Graduation and 50's Curtis. AOL has all of Curtis streaming online this week, and we've already heard a couple of the new songs from Kanye, "Can't Tell Me Nothing" and "Stronger." With so much hype around today's releases, I'm wondering: Whose album will be at the top of the charts next week?

50 Cent Joins DeNiro and Pacino in Indie Crime Thriller

Back in May we learned the exciting news that Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino will star together in a movie for the first time since they both appeared in Heat. Back then, they were only in two scenes together but now they'll be together for the entirety of the film, which is titled Righteous Kill. This news struck me as a little strange because the movie is an indie crime thriller with a budget of $60 million, considered measly by big-time Hollywood standards (especially when dealing with in-demand actors like DeNiro and Pacino).

Now for an update: Rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson is in final talks to join the two big guns in Righteous Kill. According to Billboard, "The acting veterans play detectives tracking a serial killer, while Jackson would play a drug dealer who helps them with their investigation." Well, now that 50 Cent has landed a part, I'm curious to see what Christina Aguilera ends up with.
