Sunday night's Grammy Awards were so full of performances, I kept forgetting that awards were actually being handed out! My personal highlight reel? Like Pop, I loved watching a very pregnant MIA getting her swagga on with Kanye, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, and TI.

At long last, the many, many Grammy Awards have been announced for another year. There are some clear favorites this year, like Coldplay, Lil Wayne, and John Mayer, along with some oldsters who just keep on gettin' it right, like Robert Plant and Al Green. Indeed, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss made out like bandits this year for their collaboration on the album Raising Sand.

Wow, a ton of people are going to be performing at the Grammys this year! The list — expected to add up to a record number of performances — goes on and on, full of exciting names like M.I.A. (well, provided she's not giving birth) and Radiohead (who have never appeared on the Grammys before now).

Lil Wayne took top honors Wednesday night when the Grammy nominations were announced in primetime, followed closely by Coldplay, Jay-Z, Ne-Yo, and Kanye West. Lil Wayne nabbed eight nominations, while Coldplay had seven and Jay-Z, Ne-Yo, and Kanye each had six.
Lil Wayne's most prestigious nomination came in the Album of the Year category, where he'll face off against Coldplay, Ne-Yo, Radiohead, and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.
