The Emmys started out with a bang last night, and not just because of Neil Patrick Harris's amazing opening number. The first few awards handed out were big shockers, though the end of the night mirrored last year's show when Mad Men and 30 Rock took home the top honors. I was both happy and disappointed with the night's shakeups, but what do you think was the biggest surprise of the Emmys?

Another Emmy show has come and gone, bringing plenty of laughs along the way. We've already been over who took home the statues — vote on what you thought of the winners here — but there were plenty of other highlights last night. From the amazing Neil Patrick Harris to a tearful Kristin Chenoweth, here are my top 10 moments from the 2009 Emmys.

Well, the Emmys are over, and we have our full list of winners. Were you guys surprised by this year's picks? (Check out all my Emmy polls here.) I thought the show started out pretty unexpectedly when underdogs Kristin Chenoweth and Toni Collete took home trophies, and there were a few other surprises along the way.

Mad Men is taking home the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series! It beat out Breaking Bad, Dexter, Damages, Big Love, Lost, and House.
This is Mad Men's second year in a row winning and was my prediction too.

For the third year in a row, 30 Rock is taking home the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series! It beat out Entourage, Family Guy, How I Met Your Mother, Weeds, and The Office.
No surprises here, what do you think about this win?

Glenn Close is taking home the Emmy for the second year in a row for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama for Damages! She beat out Sally Field, Mariska Hargitay, Holly Hunter, Kyra Sedgwick, and Elisabeth Moss.
I was pulling for Elisabeth Moss, but I'm not surprised about this one.

Yet another shocker: Cherry Jones is the winner of the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama! She beat out Hope Davis, Rose Byrne, Dianne Wiest, Sandra Oh, and Chandra Wilson.
So far my Emmy predictions haven't exactly been spot on, and I totally didn't see this coming.
