John Adams, Mad Men, Kimmel Win Creative Arts Emmys
HBO's John Adams and AMC's Mad Men kicked off what should be an awards-filled Emmy season over the weekend, when the annual Creative Arts Emmys were handed out in LA. John Adams took home eight awards at the ceremony, while Mad Men nabbed four of its own.
The Creative Arts Emmys recognize a variety of technical categories (lighting design, etc.) — but they also award some Emmys that non-industry types can understand, too.

Well, the Emmys are over, and we have our full list of winners. Were you guys surprised by this year's picks? (Check out all my Emmy polls here.) I thought the show started out pretty unexpectedly when underdogs Kristin Chenoweth and Toni Collete took home trophies, and there were a few other surprises along the way.
