How-To: Katherine Heigl's Emmy Awards Makeup Look

On Sunday night, Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl-that's high-gull, not high-gel -won her first Emmy. Not only did she look uber-glamorous in her long gown and red lips but her hair (styled by the talented Campbell McAuley who used Frederic Fekkai’s new Coiff products) was timeless and perfect. Speaking of timeless and perfect, did you get a look at her complexion? Wow.

Lucky for me, I made some fab new friends on my Parisian trip to Chanel and now I've got the inside info on the products used to create Katherine's red carpet look.

Face: Monika began by applying Chanel Vitallumière Satin Smoothing Fluid Makeup SPF 15 in Shell on Katherine's face. Then, she applied a touch of Pro Lumière Professional Finish Concealer in Light under her eyes and to any red areas and then she finished by dusting some Soft Touch Pressed Powder in Pêche Tendre over her entire face.
Cheeks: To add a touch of color to the perfect canvas, Monika swept one stroke of Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Narcisse and another stroke of Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Nude onto Katherine's cheeks.
Eyes: Next, Monika applied a little bit of Fluid Iridescent Eye Shadow in Sand and Silky Eyeshadow Duo in Dessert Rose to her lids, blending well. Then, she lined Katherine's eyes with Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Ebène (only on the top) and finally topped her top lashes with Inimitable Mascara in Noir and her bottom lashes with Inimitable Mascara in Bronze.
Lips: To make Katherine's lips really pop, Monika lined them first with Precision Lip Definer in Red and then filled them in with Rouge Allure Satin Finish Lipstick in Lover. Here's a tip for you: Monika used a little bit of Pro Lumière Concealer as a reverse lip liner to perfect the red lip and then powdered between coats to provide staying power.

Emmy Leftovers Keep the Party Going All Night Long

The Emmys are over but there are still so many party pictures we just had to combine the rest and share them. The combination of parties included HBO, Comedy Central, FOX and DirecTVs post-Emmys celebration. HBO brought out our favorite celebs like Showtime's Mary-Louise Parker. Hmm, wrong network but she certainly is full of surprises including her newly adopted baby girl from Africa! Is anyone else as shocked as we are to hear this news? Congrats to her growing family. Jon Stewart stayed out to celebrate one of the funniest segments of the show last night when he decided to give the Emmy to Steve Carell.

As for the rest of the HBO gang, congrats Sopranos, Emmanuelle, Ginnifer and Entourage's pregnant Constance Zimmer - you all look fab! As for the Flight of the Conchord guys, well seeing them just makes me want to master lasagna for one. Also, clearly red dresses were just as popular at the after parties as they were on the red carpet. Who do you think is winning the battle of the red dress?

Emmy Winners & Losers Party At Governor's Ball

After the Emmys and before all the other big after parties, some of TV's finest celebrated the event at the Shrine Auditorium Governor's Ball. Naturally all the Heroes were in the house - I'm beginning to think that maybe they all really do have super powers, ones that allow them to be at multiple parties at once. Tina and America, two of my personal favorite winners, spent some QT with their new statues and looked gorgeous in their dresses. How To: Get Heidi Klum's Emmy Awards Makeup Look

Now that we've talked about the red lipstick and the unique side updo that Heidi Klum wore to the 2007 Primetime Emmy Awards last night, let's take a closer look at the rest of the package from a beauty standpoint.

Believe it or not, this supermodel, TV star, jewelry designer, wife and mother of three has also just finished designing her own line of makeup for Victoria's Secret. The collection is called Heidi Klum Very Sexy Makeup Collection and will be available in mid-October-but more on that later!

Heidi didn't do her own makeup for the red carpet, though. Victoria’s Secret makeup artist Linda Hay was responsible for creating her flawless face, and she even used one of Heidi's new Very Sexy makeup product creations.

Face and Body: Linda bronzed Heidi's skin with a mixture of Bare Bronze Leg Perfecting Spray Tint and the Sexy Little Things Touch Me Gently Airbrush Moisturizer.
Step 2: Next, to give Heidi a little bit of glow (apparently Heidi is a huge fan of glitter), Linda applied a little bit of Bare Bronze Daily Glow Facial Moisturizer. Next, she dusted Very Sexy Mosaic Blush in Love Life to the apples of her cheeks for a rosy, pink look. Then she added some Very Sexy Mosaic Bronzer to her nose, forehead, temples and a down her neck and towards her chest.
Step 3:To create Heidi's smoky eye, Linda used a special mosaic eye shadow palette from the new Heidi Klum Very Sexy Collection .
Step 4:Lastly, for a jaw-dropping red lip, Linda lined Heidi’s lips with Very Sexy Lip Liner in Red Light, and topped it with Very Sexy Perfect Lipstick in Don’t Stop.

After Parties Are For Heroes

There were plenty of Emmy post parties to choose from last night, with ET and People bringing out some of the big names. Hayden changed from her questionable curtain-dress into a cute little blue one to party the night away with her Heroes costars (especially her new BFF/rumored special friend Milo). Broadway-bound Tori and Dean looked ready for the stage while Sara Ramirez opted to stick with that ill-advised gown. Sadly the three men who were celebrating their pants off on stage at the Emmys didn't make this batch of parties, but were certainly whooping it up elsewhere. Kanye Guides TV Stars To The Afterparty

The Emmys ended but the fun certainly didn't stop there. Our favorite American Idol judges and boys from Entourage were among the many celebs who headed to Les Deux for the TV Guide party. Obviously the girls from the The Hills would never miss a party at their favorite hotspot, and Eric and Rebecca weren't ready to go home either. Scary Teri even took it upon herself to sing a song or two and even had a complete wardrobe and hair change. The mic was also passed along to Kanye and John Legend who performed for the stars. Looks like Kanye had no problem getting back in the limelight after Rainn Wilson totally stole his thunder during their hilarious skit at the show.

Before the big night, some of the honored TV stars came out for EW's big annual Emmy party. Obviously Kate Walsh was looooving herself as Fall TV preview issue cover girl as she posed with the magazine on the red carpet, ugh. Heidi and Vanessa certainly were belles of the ball, while Eva went with a pretty standard gold look. Blech, can Piven (and everyone else) finally lose the fedora? Please? Such a cheese with that thing on. All this is just JV glamor compared to the Emmys themselves - don't miss all that fun. Entertainment Weekly throws a great party and I can't wait to have all these celebs back on the TV weekly, too.

It Was A Very Well-Rounded Emmy Show

Ryan Seacrest put his best hosting face forward at last night's Emmy Awards, but it was the round stage that really stole the show. The concept was cool, but it definitely made for some awkward moments, right? The Rainn Wilson/Kanye West version of Don't Forget The Lyrics was a highlight, along with Steve Carell "stealing" Ricky Gervais' Emmy. Dempsey = McDreamier than ever, yes? Christina/Tony also did a great job at a show that was obviously paying homage to Bennett in a lot of ways (icymi, check out the performance here). Hopefully the Jersey Boys tribute to The Sopranos made Tony Soprano Proud. Check out Buzz's take on the big show, but what did you think about it? Highlights? Lowlights? Did Seacrest make you laugh?

Even The Emmys Have A Few Surprises

The Emmys isn't usually the most thrilling award show, but this year a few surprises made us really take notice. While nobody was shocked to see The Sopranos take home the big prize, we didn't expect the show's cast to get shut out in every other category. 30 Rock definitely caught our attention by snagging the best comedy category, and we were so excited to see America take home an Emmy. The biggest upset of the night had to have been James Spader beating out some of our favorite actors like Masi Oka and James Gandolfini. What was up with that? Our favorite leading ladies of television did not disappoint us on the Emmy red carpet last night. Blue was my favorite color but all jewel tone shades were a hit with ladies like Portia, America and Felicity. Rebecca and Heidi went for the Old Hollywood glamour girl look while Katherine combined that trend with the mermaid dress one. Christina and Sandra went with very different yet both beautiful black and white dresses. Eva Longoria was my favorite Housewife of the night in her shorter sparkly number. It's A Tie With Men's Neckwear At The Emmys

While it never brings the excitement of the ladies red carpet, the boys all looked pretty handsome at last night's Emmy Awards. Sadly, John Krasinski's look was not a highlight, but we know this is something he's grappled with since childhood (ha). Even just in all black, I think Neil Patrick Harris might be my favorite. Jeremy Piven managed to look pretty sharp in his suit, but still found a way to d-bag it up on the red carpet. Hey, at least he's consistent! Primetime Emmy Awards: Old Hollywood Glamour

There's a reason these lovely actresses traveled back in time for their Emmy fashion inspiration: because a gal can never go wrong with some Old Hollywood Glamour. Marcia Cross, Katherine Heigl, Kate Walsh, Heidi Klum, Jaime Pressly and Rebecca Romijn all went the glam route, but they each took very different roads to get there. Marcia, Katherine and Rebecca went simple and chic with neutral hues, while Heidi and Kate went va-va-voom in red. Jamie took the road less traveled with a black swirly sequins. But in the end, all roads led to Hollywood!

Canary diamond, ruby, sapphire, and amethyst all showed up on the red carpet tonight, but not just in jewelry form! These ladies accessorized their ice with bold, jewel-toned gowns: Felicity Huffman and Julie Louis-Dreyfus went with a lovely shade of purple, while Portia, Ellen, and America chose hues of blues. Mermaids aren't only found in water (they do exist I swear!), they're also spotted on the Emmy red carpet! These stars all chose the womanly silhouette of dresses with form-fitting bodices and flared bottoms. Katherine's was the most dramatic, while Kyra and Becki kept it fresh with layers of feathers and tulle. Edie's train is a little more incognito, Mary-Louise's is sleek and Debra kept it classic in black and white. These mermaids stood out in the sea of red...carpet!

Bling was everywhere tonight! Helen Mirren and Hayden Panettiere had big sparkly brooches adorning their bustlines. Meanwhile, Portia de Rossi had a sultry jewel-encrusted snake slithering around her neck, and Lisa Rinna accentuated her up-to-there slit with some strategically-placed bling. More pre-Emmy parties means more free stuff for celebrities, whether or not they're up for an award. Paris, who is totally a TV star, made her way to some of the gifting suites on Friday where she confronted the recent rumors that she's planning to join Nicole in motherhood. Ryan Gets Himself Emmy Ready, Britney Does Not

It's an Emmys weekend and you know what that means - gifting suites! Yay for celebrities getting free stuff. In case you missed it, we're giving away some free stuff too - so fill out the Ballot! Do it! As these not-quite-A-Listers gathered up some goodies, the big show's big names are gearing up. No, not Britney, who definitely isn't appearing after all. Ryan Seacrest took a moment out of his busy schedule to talk about his hosting gig, saying that beyond a possible song/dance number there will be other surprises. He told Extra, "There’s a very interesting costume change, which could be the biggest mistake of my career…it’s that embarrassing." Anyone else picturing Ryan as Ugly Betty?

The Look: Emmys Governor Ball

The Emmys are this Sunday and the decorating committee is hard at work preparing for the Art Deco themed after party. The look for the post show Governor's Ball is an elegant black and white color scheme that drips of old Hollywood glamour.

The dinner menu -created by chef Joachim Splichal of Los Angeles' Patina restaurant - starts off with a tomato, cucumber, mango, and Dungeness crab tower with a sweet ginger soy reduction sauce. It's followed by a filet mignon and wine braised shortribs aside potatoes fondant and asparagus. Dessert is a milk chocolate mousse with a Champagne gelee served in a dark chocolate cup garnished with fresh berries and cherry vanilla cake. As for the drinks, Voss water, Grey Goose vodka, and Laurent-Perrier Champagne will be served.

Ellen Pompeo Is Emmy-Ready

Last night, Ellen Pompeo was joined by some of her Grey's Anatomy co-stars at the annual LA Confidential Pre-Emmy Party. Ellen's the cover girl for their special Emmy issue, but she and her co-stars had even more reason to celebrate since the third season of Grey's is out on DVD today. Eric and Rebecca were looking cozy as usual while Ellen chatted it up with nominee Sandra Oh. Most of our favorite shows had at least one representative in the house, including Weeds' Hunter Parrish and Entourage's Rex Lee. It looks like everyone played nicely last night, but we wonder if things will be the same on Sunday when the Emmys take place! Oh, and ICYMI - we're giving away a free year of cable to the user who fills out the most accurate Emmy ballot, so get on that!

The 2007 Primetime Emmy Nominations Announced!

Kyra Sedgwick and Jon Cryer were up early in Hollywood this AM to announce the nominees for the 2007 Primetime Emmy Awards. TV Movie Bury My Heart led the pack with 17 nominations, while The Sopranos also cleaned up with 15, including acting nods for James and Edie, and a nom for Best Dramatic Series. New favorites also did pretty well, with Ugly Betty receiving 11 nominations and Heroes bringing in 8. I'm especially excited to see Mary Louise Parker get another nod for Weeds. Check out the full list of nominees here! Who knows, maybe this time next year we'll be congratulating Pop's new favorite show (and crush), Chuck. Or maybe even Mary-Kate (wishful thinking)
