Ah, the 2007 MTV Movie Awards. After the awkward, all-Transformers "pink carpet" pre-show, we got to the real deal, which was hosted by Sarah Silverman. Sacha Baron Cohen and Will Ferrell made out. Dane Cook's frantic desperation was almost as painful as the pre-show. And Mike Meyers delivered a gracious speech in acceptance of his Generation Award.

What Did You Think of Sarah Silverman's Hosting?

As the host of the 2007 MTV Movie Awards, Sarah Silverman made fun of Paris Hilton and Jack Nicholson chuckled, she briefly sang a song with dirty lyrics, and she near-kissed Jessica Biel. Most of all, she kept the opening short and she called out the fact that the "Music Television" channel has an awards show for movies. What did you think of Sarah Silverman's hosting?

MTV Awards Fun Already Underway!

For us West Coasters, the MTV Movie Awards fun doesn't start until 7:30 our time, but the pink carpet is already teeming with celebs down in LA. MTV Movie Awards - Tonight!

Tonight at 7:30 pm on MTV you can watch the kah-razy antics known as the MTV Movie Awards, hosted by Sarah Silverman and aired live for the first time ever.

Just which titles are vying for the coveted Golden Popcorn? 300 is leading the way with five nominations including Best Picture, followed by Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest with four and Blades of Glory, The Devil Wears Prada and Borat with three each. Transformers Release Date Changed!

Jumping on the recent trend of pushing release dates, the Transformers movie will open on July 3, and not July 4 as originally planned. This way, the movie will get people in to see it on the night before a holiday, upping their opening sales. So, Shia LaBeouf fans and those (like me) who are ridiculously excited for the Transformers movie can see it several hours earlier than originally planned.

If you're not excited about this movie yet, you might want to watch the trailer. Also, tune in for the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday June 3 to catch a clip of the movie being shown during the awards show.

Sneak Peek: MTV Movie Awards Presenters & Performances

The MTV Movie Awards are just around the corner, and we're starting to get wind of which celebs will be in the house with Sarah Silverman on June 3. Obviously the list will expand as the show gets closer, but it's already a pretty kick-ass group.

We've already got the list of nominees, but it's all the other hoopla that makes the evening so fun. As usual, the list of presenters mirrors those with blockbusters coming out this summer. For instance, newly ubiquitous Shia LaBeouf and his co-star Josh Duhamel will represent Transformers, while Seth Rogen and "Grey's Anatomy"'s Katherine Heigl are there to promote Knocked Up. Movies and actors reign supreme at this event, but it wouldn't be MTV without a few performances to keep things interesting. This year we'll see Rihanna team up with Jay-Z to perform her new single "Umbrella." We'll also be treated to Amy Winehouse's very first live performance on U.S. soil. Knowing how unpredictable she can be, it should make for an interesting live experience!

300 Leads MTV Movie Awards Nominations

Last week we found out that Sarah Silverman will host the MTV Movie Awards, and now we know who will be vying for the coveted Golden Popcorn. 300 is leading the way with five nominations including Best Picture, followed by Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest with four and Blades of Glory, The Devil Wears Prada and Borat with three each.

Greatest potential for a catfight: the Best Performance category, which sees Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson going head-to-head for their Dreamgirls roles. Also, did I totally call Columbus Short's nomination for Best Breakout Star after Stomp the Yard, or what?
