What's Your Favorite Reality Competition Show?

Season 21 of Survivor premieres tonight, bringing along a new array of cast members in Nicaragua.

Season 21 of Survivor premieres tonight, bringing along a new array of cast members in Nicaragua. To keep viewers coming back on the show's new night, the producers have added a new twist: the tribes will be divided between older castaways and younger ones.

Survivor's not the only reality competition program to watch tonight; Emmy winner Top Chef will be rolling out its newest spinoff, Top Chef: Just Desserts on Bravo (get a load of the sweet new chefs here).

I love Top Chef, but I've been a big fan of Survivor since its onset (ask me to recite Susan Hawk's snake and rat speech sometime), and my love for the show peaked with the nail-biting Heroes vs. Villains season. There are plenty of other fish in the sea though — what's your favorite reality competition show?

Meet the Castaways of Survivor: Nicaragua!

On Sept. 15 (a new night!), Survivor will kick off its 21st season with a famous name and a big twist.
Meet the Contestants For Survivor Season 21 Nicaragua

On Sept. 15 (a new night!), Survivor will kick off its 21st season with a famous name and a big twist. Longtime football coach Jimmy Johnson will be among the contestants competing, and he's actually the second oldest castaway ever! Unfortunately he won't be able to rely on the strength of the youngins — this season the tribes will be divided by age! Find out who will be representing the elder team (Espada) and who's on board for the youngsters (La Flor) — all in their finest swimsuits, of course.

Do You Agree With the Winner of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains?

Just a few hours ago, Sandra was crowned the winner of what I believe to be the best season of Survivor ever.

Just a few hours ago, Sandra was crowned the winner of what I believe to be the best season of Survivor ever. I like Sandra fine, but I have to admit that I was pretty shocked at the final results. After an epic season of ups, downs, and blindsides I can't believe that Sandra — who pretty much rode coattails to the end — took home the million dollars over Parvati or even Russell. Over the weekend many of you said Russell deserved to win, but the biggest villain of 'em all didn't even score a single vote. Now that all's said and done, do you think Sandra deserved to win?

Who Should Win Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains?

I know I don't include Survivor in my regular TV recaps, but I've been eating up every episode of Heroes vs. Villains.

I know I don't include Survivor in my regular TV recaps, but I've been eating up every episode of Heroes vs. Villains. Tonight, we'll finally see who is crowned the winner, and while I'm sad to see it go, I absolutely can't wait to see who is the last man or woman standing. I'm expecting a tight race to the end — between Russell and Parvati, there should be plenty of last-minute back stabbing and double-crossing. More than anything else, I'm hoping that Colby will take this final opportunity to show a glimmer of the amazing player he once was after a lackluster showing all season long. What about you — who do you think should win the million dollars?

5 Reasons You Should Watch Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains

Back in its heyday (and by that I mean 15-20 seasons ago), Survivor was at the top of my list of must-see shows.

Back in its heyday (and by that I mean 15-20 seasons ago), Survivor was at the top of my list of must-see shows. We're talking weekly gatherings with friends, all of whom were equally obsessed with the outwitting, outplaying, and outlasting as I was. After about 12 seasons, I started to drift in and out of the show (particularly when certain undeserving contestants walked away with the grand prize), but I couldn't resist watching my old favorites duke it out on the latest season.

After seven episodes the show just keeps getting better, and not in a trainwreck-you-can't-look-away-from kinda way, like most reality shows. Though I'm still not over last night's elimination of the infamous Boston Rob, here are my top five reasons you should be watching Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains. To see them, just read more

TV Tonight: Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains

Well, Survivor fans, tonight's the night!

Well, Survivor fans, tonight's the night! The 20th season we've all been waiting for has finally arrived. Some of the show's most notorious baddies will head to Samoa to square off against series favorites for the ultimate battle between good and evil. Personally, I can't wait to see a season that's jam-packed with huge personalities, and it's always more fun to jump right into new episodes when we don't have to waste time getting to know the cast.

That said, if you need a refresher on who's on the roster, I've got you covered — get to know the group here. So who will you be rooting for? I'm torn, since I loved Colby, Rupert, and Tom the fireman, but we all know the conspirators make for the best fodder. There's also the added mystery about whether or not the castaways will change their stripes midway through, and I'm ready for a season of scandal, cat fights, and game-changers. Will you tune in?
