We're happy to present this article from our friends at Yahoo Shine:

Just a month-and-a-half after sustaining a serious shrapnel wound and fearing she'd lost her mother, Celeste, in the horrific Boston Marathon bombings, Massachusetts teen Sydney Corcoran was crowned queen of her high school prom on Tuesday night.

"When I was in the hospital, I didn't think this was going to be possible," she told local WCVB News. "Then I got to rehab and I was up and doing things. I felt like I could do it. So it was a goal. This and graduation — definitely goals."

Still using crutches, the raven-haired 18-year old looked stunning in a full-length, strapless white gown. "I'm so happy to be back," she said when she arrived at the prom venue, Lowell Memorial Auditorium, with her date. "It's just really good to see everyone."

This time the cast, which includes a former Facts of Life star and a beauty queen, are headed to the Philippines. There's a twist: three contestants are past survivors who had to drop out of their seasons due to medical issues. Season two's Michael Skupin, two-time contestant Jonathan Penner, and Russell Swan from season 19 will all be competing. Take a look at the 18 contestants before the show premieres tonight.

Meet the Castaways of Survivor: One World

It's another battle of the sexes when Survivor returns on Feb.

It's another battle of the sexes when Survivor returns on Feb. 15, with the two tribes split up by gender. Here's the twist though: there will only be one camp for all 18 castaways! This is certainly a living situation unlike one we've seen before in the show's 23 seasons, so take a look at the contestants who will be part of all the drama when the show returns.

Meet the Castaways of Survivor: South Pacific!

Survivor returns to CBS tonight, and, as usual, there are new twists to expect this time around.

Survivor returns to CBS tonight, and, as usual, there are new twists to expect this time around. First of all, the new cast (which is already split into tribes) was revealed today with one very interesting addition — Russell Hantz's teenage nephew, Brandon, will be competing! Fans of the reality show know Hantz to be one of the biggest villains Survivor has ever seen, and I can't wait to see how the other castaways will treat one of his relatives. There will also be two additional returning players — Ozzy and Coach. Check out the 18 contestants who will be competing for the million.

Do You Agree With the Winner of Survivor: Redemption Island?

Well, he finally pulled it off!

Well, he finally pulled it off! After four attempts to win Survivor, Rob Mariano finally made it happen on Survivor: Redemption Island! I've been pulling for Rob since day one, so naturally I'm ecstatic with the results (especially after a couple of nail-biting final immunity challenges). Boston Rob had me admittedly glued to my TV screen in what was an otherwise lackluster season of Survivor; it blew my mind how easily he manipulated every single castaway he competed against. Really, nobody else even stood a chance. How do you feel about the results — do you think Rob deserved to win?

Russell Hantz and "Boston" Rob Mariano Return to Survivor — Who Will Last Longer?

Redemption, indeed. The other day I introduced you to the newest slate of Survivor castaways, but now the final two contestants of Survivor: Redemption Island have been revealed, and they're bringing in the big guns.

Redemption, indeed. The other day I introduced you to the newest slate of Survivor castaways, but now the final two contestants of Survivor: Redemption Island have been revealed, and they're bringing in the big guns. Boston Rob and Russell Hantz, who became rivals during the Heroes vs. Villains season, will be giving it another go. Rob has competed (and lost) three rounds of Survivor thus far, and Russell has two under his belt.

I'm an on-again, off-again Survivor fan, but I can't deny how much juicy drama these two brought in the last time. The real question is: how far will they go against a cast of newbies? Now that the world is privy to Russell's schemes (nobody knew anything about him in the first two games he played), he'll be voted off immediately, right? Both men are such huge threats that I doubt they'll even get to the jury, but place your bets now: between Rob and Russell, who will last longer on Redemption Island?

Survivor: Redemption Island Full Cast List

A new batch of contestants are packing up their swimsuits and heading to Survivor on Wednesday, Feb. 16. CBS has just revealed the cast for the show's latest chapter — all with the exception of two former castaways who will be named later this week (any guesses as to who they might be?). This season those who are voted off will be sent to the remote Redemption Island, where they'll later be joined by the next person eliminated, and then fight them for a chance to stay in the game. But before the ladies and gents get down and dirty, get to know a little bit about them.
