Vampire Rom-Com: Inspired or Tired?

Yet another vampire story is rumored to be coming to the big screen, but this time it's the ladies who are doing the biting. Krysten Ritter (who is normally relegated to the BFF role) is supposedly starring in a romantic comedy called Vamps. Amy Heckerling, the director responsible for Clueless, is attached to write and direct the story of "two young female vampires living the good life in New York until love enters the picture."

Curb Your Enthusiasm is coming to cable: The TV Guide channel and TV Land have both just acquired the show in a joint effort to run old episodes. Larry David and the gang will first appear on TV Guide starting in February, and TV Land will pick up the show from them starting in 2013. Now, I can feed my rerun addiction and catch up on those seasons of Curb that I missed when I didn't have HBO!

Lawrence and Foxx to Take Their Female Alter Egos to the Big Screen

After countless box office hits, Jamie Foxx and Martin Lawrence are going back to their roots on network shows In Living Color and Martin. Each actor portrayed an unfortunate-looking female character on their respective '90s shows — "Sheneneh" for Lawrence and "Wanda" for Foxx, and now the pair will team up to portray them in a movie called Skank Robbers. Stemming from a fake trailer of the same name at a recent awards show, studio Screen Gems picked up the movie, with Foxx and Lawrence writing and producing.

Gwyneth Paltrow to Join Nicole Kidman in The Danish Girl

About a year ago Nicole Kidman signed on to play a transsexual in The Danish Girl, and now Gwyneth Paltrow has signed on to play her (his?) wife. Taking over a role originally slated for Charlize Theron, Paltrow will play Greta, an artist in 1920s Copenhagen who encourages her husband (Kidman) to pose as a female model — but has mixed feelings about the matter when her husband decides to undergo a sex change operation. This is the second recent project that Charlize has dropped out of only to make room for another big star (the first is The Tourist), but do you think Gwyneth will be a better fit for the role?
