7 Stylish Flicks We're Excited to See This Summer

Along with sunnier days, sandal fever, and a whole lot of iced coffee, we're looking forward to the season's onslaught of silver-screen blockbusters, indie films, and of course, the inspiring movie fashion that comes with it.

Along with sunnier days, sandal fever, and a whole lot of iced coffee, we're looking forward to the season's onslaught of silver-screen blockbusters, indie films, and of course, the inspiring movie fashion that comes with it. More specifically, we're dying to see Diane Kruger's opulent take on Marie Antoinette in Farewell, My Queen, how Blake Lively will manage her laid-back beachy style and juggle dating two best friends in Oliver Stone's Savages, or what Emma Stone's and Emma Watson's schoolgirl ensembles will look like in The Amazing Spider-Man and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Just like our affinity to TV fashion, we love watching our favorite celebs transform into their onscreen characters, personality, panache, and all. Judging by the looks of this Summer's movie lineup, we're in for indie-cool separates, Italian vacation garb, and corseted costume drama. Take a peek at the flicks we're most excited to see and styles you can emulate and shop now.

Heat It Up: 5 Cool Outfits Inspired by Our Favorite Summer Movies

When the heat is sweltering and you can literally fry an egg on the sidewalk, sometimes all you can do is stay inside with a fan, a glass of iced tea, and a good Summer movie — and even when it's not quite warm enough to hit the beach or lie in the park, watching a flick about the warm-weather months can get you in the right frame of mind, sartorially speaking.

Buzz In: What's Your Favorite Movie of the Summer?

I can't believe Summer is nearly over, can you?

I can't believe Summer is nearly over, can you? It seems like just weeks ago that I was getting excited for the season's hot blockbuster guys and kicking off my Netflix Challenge. Now the warm weather is slowly fading, right along with its shirtless A-listers and onscreen romances. But before we do, let's pay homage to those films we loved most!

It's hard to even recall all of the Summer flicks that came and left theaters, but there are a few at the forefront of my mind, like The Kids Are All Right, Toy Story 3, and Inception. I'm sure I'm overlooking one or two as well. Which Summer film tops your list?

Introducing Buzz's Blockbuster Boys of Summer!

We've already had Robert Downey Jr. and Jake Gyllenhaal, but the best is yet to come for hot leading men in Summer movies.

We've already had Robert Downey Jr. and Jake Gyllenhaal, but the best is yet to come for hot leading men in Summer movies. We have Bradley Cooper marking the release The A-Team, plus everyone from Tom Cruise to Paul Rudd to Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. I'm obviously pretty jazzed to see all of their flicks, so I've put together this very special video full of Summer eye candy from here on. Give yourself a Friday treat (note: there's more than one shirtless dude in the mix), and check it out!

I always love when June rolls around, because it signals the start of the Summer! That's when the real cinematic heavy-hitters come to theaters: big-budget action films like The Bourne Identity, raunchy-fun comedies like The Hangover, and superhero franchises (Spider-Man and Batman Begins both got their start in the warm-weather months). This week Iron Man 2 will help kick the season off, so to celebrate, play my fun game by telling me which Summer blockbuster of years past you enjoy most. Just click here or below to get started!
