Selma Blair Was Weeks Past Her Due Date, Were You?

Babies don't really care about doctor-designated due dates.

Babies don't really care about doctor-designated due dates. Many first-time moms, like Selma Blair, tend to see their due dates pass with nary a contraction to show for it. The very pregnant star was spotted walking around LA several times over the weekend, reportedly more than two weeks past her due date — and it looks like all that walking paid off! Selma and her fashion designer boyfriend, Jason Bleick, welcomed son Arthur Saint Bleick Monday.

From walking to sex to eating pregnancy pizza, overdue women will try just about anything to entice their lil one's debut. Did you go past the 40-week mark with your first child? Share your due date anecdotes in the comments below.

Due Date

Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifiankis pair up for this comedy about a tightly wound father-to-be (Downey) who is forced to take a road trip with an eccentric schlub (Galifiankis) in order to make it home in time for the birth of his child. Naturally, the trip is thwarted by one disaster after another. The film isn't quite as funny as director Todd Phillips's The Hangover, but Downey has some hilarious moments and even manages to outshine Galifiankis and his usual routine. DVD bonus features include deleted scenes and a gag reel.

Megamind

Will Ferrell headlines this animated flick about alien super villain Megamind, while Brad Pitt voices his charming nemesis, Metro Man. When Megamind defeats his rival once and for all, he struggles to find purpose in a life where there's no good guy to battle. Tina Fey and Jonah Hill round out the star-studded cast as a reporter/love interest for Megamind and her camera man. The film didn't stand out among 2010 greats like Toy Story 3, but Megamind is just the ticket if you're looking for a fun family film. Bonus features include deleted scenes, filmmaker commentary, and games.

Box Office: Harry Potter Is Deathly Competition

We all saw this one coming, but Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I tore up the box office in its debut weekend, taking in a staggering $125.1 million.

We all saw this one coming, but Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I tore up the box office in its debut weekend, taking in a staggering $125.1 million. Those numbers earned the film the sixth-highest opening weekend of all time, and was the best debut for the franchise to date. Last week's champ, Megamind, settled for a distant second place with $16.1 million.

Unstoppable took third with $13.1 million, followed by Due Date with $9.1 million. Rounding out the top five was newbie The Next Three Days, which clocked in at $6.7 million. With a holiday weekend on the horizon, I'm expecting Potter to add to its impressive tally — what will you be seeing over the Thanksgiving break?

Box Office: Megamind Stops Unstoppable

Despite some competition from a bunch of new releases, kiddie flick Megamind retained the top slot at the box office, taking in $30 million across its sophomore weekend.

Despite some competition from a bunch of new releases, kiddie flick Megamind retained the top slot at the box office, taking in $30 million across its sophomore weekend. Second place went to newbie Unstoppable, which garnered $23.5 million.

Due Date slipped to third with $15.5 million, while new movies Skyline and Morning Glory rounded out the top five with $11.6 million and $9.6 million respectively. Don't expect Megamind to get too comfortable at the top though — Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I comes storming in this weekend.

Modern Quilts Inspired by Due Date

The recent release of Due Date has a lot going for it — besides some actual belly laugh moments, there are also some really fun decorating ideas in the film. One look that I particularly loved was the very non-folksy quilt hanging on the wall in this shot. Have you wanted to try this look at your home, but don't want to risk going too country with your quilt? Then try a design from one of these amazing quilt makers. Source
