The cast of the second Hunger Games installment showed up on set in Atlanta yesterday. Production on Catching Fire got started on Monday, and Josh Hutcherson, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Willow Shields, Alan Ritchson, Jeffrey Wright, and others reported for work. Sam made his debut as Finnick Odair, while Jena got into character as Johanna Mason. Jennifer Lawrence, who is sporting darker hair for Katniss, wasn't spotted during the day of filming, but she talked about getting back to her big-screen role during a recent appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Josh Hutcherson stepped out of his trailer on the set of The Hunger Games in Shelby, NC, yesterday. It's the first time we caught a glimpse of our Peeta Mellark, though last week we did see Jennifer Lawrence heading to work as Katniss and Liam Hemsworth making his transformation into Gale. Yesterday, Josh was joined by Elizabeth Banks, who plays Effie Trinket, as well as Willow Shields, who is Prim. The full Hunger Games cast is finally coming together, with the newest addition being Donald Sutherland as President Snow. A local news anchor has been sharing sneak peeks of the area around The Hunger Games set on Twitter as fans are eager to get any glimpse at what Panem will look like in the big screen adaptation of the beloved series.

Ready for more Hunger Games casting news? Newcomer Willow Shields will play Prim Everdeen, Katniss's little sister. Prim, also known as Primrose, has a significant role in the stories, since she's the original person selected to compete in the Hunger Games, but is saved from entering when her sister Katniss takes her place.

I like that the casting of the movie is keeping me guessing — while there are some well-known actors like Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss and Elizabeth Banks as Effie, plenty of unknowns like Shields are being added too. To boot, more tributes have also been cast — Leven Rambin and Jack Quaid will play Glimmer and Marvel.
