The Vow

Channing Tatum stars in this romantic drama as Leo, the husband of a woman (Rachel McAdams) who has recently lost her memory in a traumatic car accident. Leo must painstakingly woo his wife back, as she has no recollection of the past four years in which they met, fell in love, and started a life together. Though the story is an interesting hook, the movie is more depressing than hopeful. The Vow does, however, give Tatum a chance to shine as a serious actor, and, of course, he's not bad to look at for two hours either. Extras include commentary by the director, deleted scenes, and a blooper reel.

Underworld: Awakening

Kate Beckinsale reprises her role as the leather-clad vampire Selene in the fourth installment of the sci-fi Underworld series. After escaping imprisonment, she isn't prepared to find that humans have not only discovered the existence of the vampire and Lycan clans, but have vowed to eradicate them from the earth. The DVD comes with an abundance of extras, including a special "Creating the Underworld: Picture-in-Picture Experience" viewing option, five featurettes, audio commentary, a blooper reel, and a music video for "Heavy Prey," one of the songs featured in the film.

Movie Trailers

Kate Beckinsale Comes Back to Life in the Underworld: Awakening Trailer

Kate Beckinsale has returned to the Underworld (and skintight leather).

Kate Beckinsale has returned to the Underworld (and skintight leather). The actress originated the character of Selene in the franchise's first two films and skipped out for the third, but now she's back for the fourth installment, Underworld: Awakening. This time, Selene has woken from a coma-like state after 12 years to find a couple of disturbing developments: first, she has a teen daughter somewhere in the world, and second, humans are now aware of vampires and Lycans and waging an all-out war against them.

The intense trailer shows off the violent nature of the vampire/Lycan/human war as well as a fiercer-than-ever Selene as she hunts for her child. I know I wouldn't mess with her. Watch the trailer for the film, which will of course be in 3D when it comes out on Jan. 20, 2012, when you read more

Kate Beckinsale to Go Underworld Again

Kate Beckinsale will rise in her skintight catsuit once again.

Kate Beckinsale will rise in her skintight catsuit once again. The actress, who originated the role of Selene in the first two Underworld installments (but not the latest), has signed on to reprise the role in Underworld 4.

There is no director yet (Beckinsale's husband, Len Wiseman, helmed the first two films) and the sole detail about the plot is that we know Selene's daughter will play a big part. With Beckinsale back in her role as sexy vamp Selene, one of the most kickass female characters of all time (vote now!), are you excited about the franchise again?
