Brad and Angelina Share His Tree of Life Night With Jessica, Garrett, and More
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie made a hot pair on the red carpetat last night's premiere of Tree of Life at the LACMA. She was stunning in a red, one-shouldered gown from Jenny Packham while Brad sported a suit from one of his favorites, Tom Ford. He posed at the afterparty with their costar Jessica Chastain, who managed to conceal the leg injury she sustained two days ago at a motocross rally. Guy Ritchie also turned out to toast the movie that won the Palm d'Or prize at Cannes with his pregnant girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley and Tron star Garrett Hedlund. Brad Pitt even shaved for the occasion, which brought out producer Ecky Malick but not her husband, director Terrence Malick.
Brad Talks Religion at His The Tree of Life Press Conference — Interesting or Off Topic?
Brad Pitt has had a busy day between his The Tree of Life premiere with Angelina Jolie and his early morning photocall alongside costar Jessica Chastain. In between the events, Brad opened up about the Terrence Malick-directed movie at a press conference. He touched on the film's theme of religious predestination, revealing a bit about his past.
Brad Pitt told reporters, "I got brought up being told things were God's way, and when things didn't work out it was called God's plan. I've got my issues with it. Don't get me started. I found it very stifling." Tackling religion could be a risky thing to do before the world's media, but Brad fans rarely get to hear him speak about his childhood. So, tell us — do you think Brad's comments are interesting or off topic?
White-Hot Brad Pitt Debuts Tree of Life With Costar Jessica Chastain
Brad Pitt returned the love to his fans this morning as he waved, smiled, and blew kisses at a photo call for his movie Tree of Life. He posed solo after standing next to his red-clad costar Jessica Chastain, though it was a different woman who kept Brad company at dinner last night. Brad and Angelina had a date night at the city's Tetou restaurant, which was a break from work for both stars. Angelina has been busy promoting Kung Fu Panda 2 with interviews and press events. She revealed that the Jolie-Pitt kids are also near the Mediterranean, though they've kept close to their hotel. Brad followed up today's posing with a screening of the film, and early reviews are coming in — there apparently were boos at the Tree of Life premiere while other critics raved. Angelina, meanwhile, is moving forward with one of her next movie projects. Her directorial debut, which got a Dec. 23 release date, has finally gotten a title and will be called In the Land of Blood and Honey.

Brad Pitt Gives Sean Penn Daddy Issues in the Tree of Life Trailer
Tree of Life, the Terrence Malik drama starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn, has been in limbo for the last couple of years, but today it's finally seeing the light of day. The first trailer for the film is heavy, ominous, and has just a hint of magic. Set in the 1950s, we follow the upbringing of three boys as their parents (Brad Pitt and Jessica Chastain) commit themselves to teaching their sons the truths of the world. Though his wife warns him that he's being too hard on them, Pitt's character can't help but leave a lasting impression on his kids, particularly Jack.

Fast forward 40 some-odd years, and we see a forlorn-looking Jack (Sean Penn) reflecting on his childhood and pondering life's more difficult questions. I'm feeling kind of ambivalent about this one: it looks like it could be incredibly powerful or kind of a snoozefest. The film's release is set for May 2011, but watch the preview when you read more

Don't Mess With Hot Brad Pitt in Texas
Brad Pitt channeled his younger A River Runs Through It self walking around Texas between takes on Tree of Life yesterday. Seriously though, how hot does he look with the shorter hair and no goatee? My middle school self is very happy. So hot. The Jolie-Pitt clan is currently in the Lone Star state while he films, but are rumored to be taking off to more French pastures to await the arrival of baby No. 5. While Brad is hard at work acting, Angelina has (typically) loftier aspirations. She just published her most recent Op Ed piece in the Washington Post about what she thinks we should do in regards to Iraq. From baby bumps to the rumor mill to actual politics — there's just no way to keep the Jolie-Pitts out of the headlines.
