If you've been holding out to buy a PS3 until, well, whenever, now might be the time to run out and pick one up . . . if you live in Japan that is. Sony announced today that they'll be releasing a limited edition PS3 Slim bundle that comes packed with the Blu-ray release of Michael Jackson's This Is It to commemorate the King of Pop. Priced at around $365, the pack will hit shelves on January 27 and come with a 120GB PS3, all the standard fixins (DualShock 3 controller and cables), along with some bonus Michael Jackson wallpapers.

If you're an MJ fan and a gaming geek, then this would be the ultimate gift. Unfortunately, Japan wins again, since there's no word of this bundle hitting stateside.

It was the moment of the year that made us all stop and turn on our TVs: on June 25, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, passed away at the age of 50.

The news came as a shock to say the least, and we paused to recall our favorite memories of a long and illustrious career filled with dance performances unlike anything we'd ever seen before. The media blitz began by recounting his most famous moments and videos on TV, radio stations played his songs on repeat, and fans rushed to buy his music. (The following week, he had the No. 1, 2, and 3 best-selling albums in the country). On July 7, a public memorial service featured performances from those who he inspired, including Mariah Carey and Usher. He was later laid to rest in a private ceremony.

But amidst all of the 24-hour coverage, we were still trying to get the full story behind the mystery of his death. Was it murder? A mix of prescription drugs? Just poor health? Why did his doctor wait so long to call 911?

Disney received an early present this year: The revamped version of the classic tale A Christmas Carol took the top spot at the box office in its opening weekend with $31 million. While that figure is on the low end of studio estimates for the film, insiders hope that it will continue to gain more movie-goers as we near the holidays. Following behind at No. 2 was last weekend's box office champ, Michael Jackson's This Is It, with $14 million.

Rounding out the rest of the top five were two more new releases — The Men Who Stare at Goats came in third with $13.3 million, and Milla Jovovich's The Fourth Kind took fourth place with $12.5 million. Fan favorite Paranormal Activity slipped to No. 5 with $8.6 million.

The small success story of the weekend was Precious, which raked in $1.8 million despite only opening in 18 theaters. Expect to see it climb up the box office chart next week as it expands into more cities.

All hail the King of Pop: posthumous Michael Jackson documentary This Is It landed at the top of the box office this weekend, raking in $21.3 million in its first weekend in theaters.

Last week's number one, Paranormal Activity, bowed to the king and fell to number two with $16.5 million. In third place was the Gerard Butler thriller Law Abiding Citizen with a haul of $7.3 million, while Couples Retreat and Saw VI came in at fourth and fifth with respective gains of $6 million and $5.5 million.
