Moms need an escape from reality every now and then, but they don't often stray too far from the central themes of their own lives. Though the boob tube is filled with shows that speak to women, we often find ourselves wrapped up in programs that focus on parenting. Though some approach it from a comedic angle, and others from the dramatic, we just can't seem to escape watching families grapple with the bigger issues in caring for their kids. You've placed your votes for the best network comedy of the year, but let's switch gears to their more serious peers. We have a few new drama series on this list (now's your chance, Hawaii Five-0 fans!), along with some longtime favorites. Which is your No. 1? Weigh in!

Sweet TV romances are fine and all, but the relationships that keep you tuning in each week are usually the kind that are tragically unfulfilled. As much as we'd like to see certain couples get together, you have to admit that smoldering sexual tension is more fun to watch. So from these hot-but-not-on couples, which one gets your vote?

Tonight, the Emmy-nominated CBS series The Good Wife premieres the first episode of its sophomore season. Interestingly, rather than focusing on their awards love for their first season, the promo for tonight focuses on the budding relationship between Alicia and Will . . . and the budding love triangle, since things aren't exactly over with politician husband Peter.
It seems like a smart move to play up the romance rather than the procedural angle, especially for viewers who were interested in watching the show after the Emmys aired and looking for another reason to tune in. Speaking of that, I'd like to hear from current fans of The Good Wife why you watch and like the show, and why new viewers should make it part of their weekly viewing digest!

It's time for the big Emmy awards! I've been making predictions for each of the categories before Sunday, but for the latest round in my Emmy breakdowns, I asked for your picks to win best drama series. Take a look at what your fellow readers had to say (along with my own opinions), and then go here to fill out your Emmy ballot — you could win an iPad!
The Emmys are this Sunday! I've been getting prepped for the big night by predicting some of the awards (thanks to your help!), but it's time to move on to the final two categories: the series themselves. In the drama column, we have regulars like Breaking Bad, Dexter, and returning champ Mad Men, but this year, newcomer The Good Wife will be joining the list. Fan favorite True Blood also makes the cut for the first time, while Lost will attempt one last Emmy win for its final season (it hasn't won for best series since 2005).
Will voters send Lost out with a bang? Will Mad Men take it again? Or will we see an upset from a very deserving Dexter? Tell me which show deserves the honor, and more importantly, why. Then take a sec to fill out my Emmy ballot for the chance to win an iPad!
