For her first day on set of The Carrie Diaries, AnnaSophia Robb strutted NYC in a floral Derek Lam blouse and shorts, and for her latest take, the actress was spotted prancing around the streets in a glamorously poufy and sequined dress. In true Carrie form, the outfit was completed with a sassy green cropped denim jacket, caged sandals, colorful bracelets, a black clutch, and, of course, a "C" initial necklace. While this look isn't one for the sidewalks, it would be darling for your next soiree. Just throw on an equally standout gown with a casual denim jacket and spend the night in Carrie Bradshaw's fabulous shoes.

On the NYC set of the show, actress AnnaSophia Robb, who plays Carrie, was spotted sporting a fabulous floral tie-neck blouse by 10 Crosby Derek Lam — which you can buy now! — with loose-fitting black shorts and a neon Carrie-clad bag. As we know, Carrie's love of shoes transcends the usual black patent pump, but we'll have to wait and see what glamorous footwear the young Carrie wears through the season. The Carrie Diaries will follow Miss Bradshaw through her teen years, and from the looks of this picture, she caught the fashion bug pretty early on. Here's the first official image of AnnaSophia Robb as Carrie, in what's an obvious nod to the ensemble that Sarah Jessica Parker rocks in the opening credits of Sex and the City. Carrie Bradshaw is coming back to TV — the younger version of her, anyway. The CW has been planning on bringing Sex and the City prequel The Carrie Diaries to its lineup, and it has finally cast the role that Sarah Jessica Parker made famous. AnnaSophia Robb will play the young Carrie Bradshaw in the 1980s-set series, which will follow the young fashionista's life in high school.

The Soul Surfer star might not bear the most striking resemblance to Parker, but she was certainly on our mind when news about The Carrie Diaries first came out, because we suggested her for the role. What do you think of Robb's casting as young Carrie?
