Sneak Peek: HBO's Funny or Die Presents

Chances are you've stumbled across Will Ferrell, Chris Henchy, and Adam McKay's viral video mecca Funny or Die while bumbling around on the Internet at work (it's okay, I won't tell).

Chances are you've stumbled across Will Ferrell, Chris Henchy, and Adam McKay's viral video mecca Funny or Die while bumbling around on the Internet at work (it's okay, I won't tell). Now, they're invading your TV too, as they bring a slew of comedic sketches to HBO. Apparently, they just give their many celeb friends a camera and let them run wild. The result: totally random, raucous silliness.

The show is appropriately titled Funny or Die Presents, and it's premiering at midnight this Friday. To celebrate, the website just released a series of clips filled with a ton of recognizable faces. You have Don Cheadle and Ferrell reenacting a "Drunk History" bit as Douglass and Lincoln, David Spade in a wig alongside SNL alum Tim Meadows, and Malin Akerman and a wounded Ed Helms in the middle of a bank robbery.

While not uproariously funny from these quick snippets alone, it does have me curious to see each skit in full — and to watch for who else might pop up in the series (Zooey Deschanel and John C. Reilly are also among the attached names). Plus, I'm sold just from the fact that Zach Galifianakis is wearing pigtails and a velour sweatsuit.

Bryan Greenberg Talks About How to Make It in America

HBO premieres new series How to Make It in America tonight, the latest venture from producer Mark Wahlberg.

HBO premieres new series How to Make It in America tonight, the latest venture from producer Mark Wahlberg. Like Entourage, we're following a group of guy friends — but this time we're on the isle of Manhattan. At the center of the story is Ben, an aspiring designer hustling his way to the top of one of the biggest fashion scenes — alongside his business partner and BFF Cam.

I've already shared some first photos of the series, but I recently chatted with star Bryan Greenberg who plays Ben to get his take. Greenberg is no stranger to TV, given his turns on shows like October Road. Still, he'll be the first to admit that he's not usually known for stuff this edgy (remember when he crooned on his guitar on One Tree Hill?). Listen in:

On why he loves his new gig: "It’s an amazing project, a really intelligent series. It's fun! We shot it in all the cool locations in New York. I'm working with really talented directors like Julian Farino and other guys like Joshua Marston who did Maria Full of Grace and Jonathan Levine of The Wackness. Working at HBO, everything's quality over there. They take risks, and this show has an edge to it. It's different for me, because it's a little edgier. I loved it — I hope I can come back for a second season."

Introducing the Ladies of America's Next Top Model Cycle 14!

Can you believe it's that time again?
Photos of Contestants From America's Next Top Model Cycle 14

Can you believe it's that time again? The 14th cycle (count 'em — 14!) of America's Next Top Model is fast-approaching on March 10, and we're already getting a sneak peek at the young women who will be vying for the title. Last season's contestants will be hard to top — I can't imagine anyone being quite as charming to watch as Laura — but a few in the bunch are snagging my attention (even though I'm not quite sure why they've dressed them up like Lady Gaga/'80s Barbie). Check out the pics, and get to know the girls!

Which Guest Star Are You Most Excited to See This Week?

November sweeps is here, which means appearances by big names on some of my favorite shows.

November sweeps is here, which means appearances by big names on some of my favorite shows. We've already seen the likes of Samantha Ronson and Pharrell on 90210, but now we're getting to the exciting stuff.

Lady Gaga hits Gossip Girl tonight — check out a sneak peek here — before Melrose Place welcomes back Heather Locklear tomorrow night. And who could forget James Franco's big cameo on General Hospital? While I'm still baffled by his career move — not to mention those early pics — Franco on a soap opera is bound to be hilarious.

All of this means lots of TV-watching for me, and luckily none of the shows are on the same night, so I don't even have to pick favorites! Still, I'm curious to hear your opinion — which guest appearance is earning the top spot on your TiVo?

TV Tonight: V Premiere

The Visitors are coming!

The Visitors are coming! Tonight, V invades ABC with an updated redo of the eighties sci-fi series. I'm still somewhat confused over why the network is splitting up the season into two separate installments (the first four episodes now; the rest in March), but you can bet I'll be watching to assess if the show is worth following into Spring.

If you're not familiar with the original — or didn't take a peek at the my video of the first ten minutes — the storyline follows a group of aliens who visit Earth seeking resources in exchange for their advanced technology. But as you might guess, their "good" intentions aren't what they seem. Scott Wolf of Party to Five fame is one of the stars, along with Elizabeth Mitchell from Lost — which is perhaps why I'm already drawing up comparisons to that fan favorite. (Seriously, ABC even has a Peace Ambassador Program online that viewers can join. The Dharma Initiative, anyone?)

I doubt I'll be as addicted to this new group as I am to the Oceanic gang, but I am loving the trailer thanks to Muse's "Uprising" as its theme song. Check it out for yourself, and tell me if you'll be tuning in this evening, when you read more

Would You Watch a J.J. Abrams Medical Comedy?

J.J. Abrams, the king of TV sci-fi, is looking for laughs.

J.J. Abrams, the king of TV sci-fi, is looking for laughs. The man behind Lost and Fringe just signed on to executive produce a "comedic medical show" for FOX. Random!

I've always been a huge fan of Abrams, but I've never thought of him as a funny ha-ha kinda guy. Yes, his shows have had their goofy moments — Felicity's Richard used to always make me guffaw — but this is the same guy who creates smoke monsters. This is a total departure from his usual territory.

Not that I won't watch. Shows based around hospitals may be a dime a dozen these days, but with the old Scrubs that I loved on its way out, this could be a potential worthy replacement. Plus, everything that Abrams touches seems to turn into ratings gold.

What do you guys think of this news? Will you watch J.J. Abrams's new comedy when it comes out?
