Katherine Heigl wore a flowy dress last Friday to shop in LA with her mom, sister, and daughter Naleigh. Little Naleigh was already showing off her walking skills, and she also expertly picked out a pair of socks to purchase. Katherine's weekend of fun didn't stop there, as she also enjoyed dinner and a movie with Josh Kelley and TR Knight on Sunday. She's getting in as much quality time with loved ones as possible before heading out to promote her Killers later this month. Katherine will be joined by her very influential costar Ashton Kutcher, who's sure to tweet updates and pictures of their adventures before the June 4 opening.

Are You Surprised by T.R. Knight's Comments About Grey's?

T.R. Knight landed on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, finally opening up about his big decision to leave Grey's Anatomy.

T.R. Knight landed on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, finally opening up about his big decision to leave Grey's Anatomy. He essentially chalks up the move to his disagreements with the show's executive producer, Shonda Rimes, and the fallout from Isaiah Washington's profanity-laced tirade in 2006. He said:

  • On his frustration: "My five-year experience proved to me that I could not trust any answer that was given [about George]."
  • On coming out publicly after Isaiah's incident: "I think she was concerned about having my statement come out so close to the [initial] event."
  • On leaving his $14 million contract: "From an outsider's perspective, I get the [impression that] 'He’s just a spoiled actor…he doesn’t know how good he has it. There are a lot of people who would like to be in my position. But in the end, I need to be fulfilled in my work."

It's interesting to finally hear the backstory after years of rumors about the show and its cast, so tell us — are you surprised T.R. Knight is finally making a comment?

T.R. Knight Speaks Out on Leaving Grey's

Where did George go on Grey's Anatomy last season?

Where did George go on Grey's Anatomy last season? Why would T.R. Knight leave a hit show behind? That's what Knight himself talks about on this week's cover of Entertainment Weekly. While we won't get to read the full story till tomorrow, here are some early highlights:

  • Knight realized George had "expired." That's how Knight describes what happened to George at the start of season five. But he didn't talk to creator Shonda Rhimes about it, instead simply asking to leave.
  • He didn't like George's cheating storyline. Apparently, Knight struggled with the idea that George would be cheating on his wife, Callie (Sara Ramirez), with Izzie (Katherine Heigl).
  • He didn't know where George was headed. "My five-year experience proved to me that I could not trust any answer that was given [about George]," he says in the story. "And with respect, I'm going to leave it at that."
  • Heigl tried to talk him out of leaving. "I felt like some of the problems could be worked through," she says. "But by the time it came to fruition, I was [glad] for him because he was ready to go."

I'm curious to see more when the full story hits newsstands. Are you surprised at any of his comments? Will you miss him on Grey's?

Katherine and Gerard Have a Good Time With The Ugly Truth

Gerard Butler got silly with a giggling Katherine Heigl at the LA premiere of The Ugly Truth last night.

Gerard Butler got silly with a giggling Katherine Heigl at the LA premiere of The Ugly Truth last night. Katherine showed off her new darker 'do to her BFF T.R. Knight and a few other costars from Grey's Anatomy. She didn't talk about the news of the Emmy nominations. After her year of ghost sex and brain tumors, it may have been surprising to not see her name on the list. Gerard was taking a break from work on The Bounty with Jennifer Aniston, and he opened up on the carpet about how they laugh about all the dating rumors. He had nothing but praise for Jen, as he's apparently quite friendly with many of his leading ladies.

Grey's Anatomy Rundown: Episode 23, "Here's to the Future," and Episode 24, "Now or Never"

Grey's Anatomy just wouldn't be the same without an intense season finale.

Grey's Anatomy just wouldn't be the same without an intense season finale. After all, this is the show that had Burke shot, killed Denny, and had Meredith build a house of candles. But even by Grey's standards, Thursday's finale was a doozy. Partially because of the behind-the-scenes drama and partially because of the storylines it set up, we had a lot of questions going into these final two episodes. Were any of them answered? Grey's Anatomy Rundown: Episode 22, "What a Difference a Day Makes"

The 100th episode of Grey's Anatomy has all the elements of a classic: there's a big tragedy that brings a lot of the doctors together, a few sweeping speeches, and a wedding that makes me cry despite lots of lapses of logic.

The 100th episode of Grey's Anatomy has all the elements of a classic: there's a big tragedy that brings a lot of the doctors together, a few sweeping speeches, and a wedding that makes me cry despite lots of lapses of logic. It's not my favorite Grey's of the season, but if a measure of a good episode is whether I was a weepy mess by the end, then "What a Difference a Day Makes" is certainly good. Ready to talk about it?
