Now that award season is over, let's focus on what's really important: new movies! This week, Nicholas Hoult is climbing a giant beanstalk alongside Ewan McGregor in Jack the Giant Slayer, Miles Teller and Skylar Astin are treating their best friend to the night of his life in 21 and Over, and Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman, and Matthew Goode are showing us what real family dysfunction looks like in Stoker. Which will you see? Click through the pictures to get a sneak peek of all three.
Matthew Goode Tells Us 5 Surprising Facts About Stoker
Matthew Goode stars in Stoker, which is out today, alongside costars Nicole Kidman and Mia Wasikowska. It's a psychological thriller from Korean director Park Chan-wook, who was behind the well-received 2003 film Oldboy. Nicole plays Evie, Mia's mother in the film, and their world is turned upside down by the death of Evie's husband and the arrival of his brother Charlie, played by Matthew — check out the Stoker trailer.
We caught up with Matthew at a press day yesterday, when he shared five surprising tidbits about Stoker — including the fact that it was written by actor Wentworth Miller. Click through to read all five of Matthew's quotes.
Nicole Kidman Has a Fresh-Off-the-Runway Dress For Her Stoker Premiere
Nicole Kidman joined her Stoker costars Mia Wasikowska and Matthew Goode in London last night for a special screening. Decked out in a dress from her designer friend L'Wren Scott, Nicole posed for photos both inside and outside of the city's Curzon Soho theater. Having the screening in the UK may have helped Nicole get her hands on the dress — it was fresh of the runway of L'Wren Scott's Autumn/Winter 2013 show that took place in London on Saturday! Stoker is out in both the UK and the US on March 1. Stoker debuted at Sundance last month, though, to quite good early reviews.
Nicole Kidman Embraces Her Dark Side at Sundance With Stoker
Nicole Kidman showed off her wintry chic style in a fitted coat at the Sundance Film Festival premiere of her thriller Stoker on Sunday afternoon. Once inside the screening, Nicole showed off a very formfitting dress on stage. She was joined by her costars Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode, and Dermot Mulroney on the red carpet. We got a first look at the movie's creepy vibe when the Stoker trailer was released in the Fall, and last night the audience was finally treated to Korean director Chan-wook Park's latest. Nicole then went on to party the night away with fellow festivalgoers. Nicole is coming right off her glamorous Golden Globes night with husband Keith Urban, though he skipped out on the trip to Park City, UT.
Stoker Trailer: Nicole Kidman Could Use Some Parenting Classes
Think your mom can be kind of mean sometimes? Watch the severely troubling trailer for Stoker and thank your lucky stars she's not crazy-eyed Evie Stoker (Nicole Kidman). We're introduced to Evie as she's talking to her daughter, India, played by Mia Wasikowska. "I can't wait for life to rip you apart," she says as India shivers in the corner. It's not exactly the heartfelt talk you'd expect to get after your father dies, as India's has in the film. The trailer goes on to show Evie getting close to India's uncle Charlie (Matthew Goode), which creates problems for the whole family — especially when we learn that Uncle Charlie really has his sights set on India.
Nicole Kidman is a powerful actress, but this one might be too creepy for me. From the sound effects to the digitized spider crawling up India's sock, this trailer had me squirming. The movie is set for a March 1 release, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.

Carey Mulligan Gets Stoked For a New Movie Role
This seems like a strange bit of casting news: Carey Mulligan is reportedly signed on to star in a new Fox Searchlight film titled Stoker — but that's not the odd part. You ready for this? It's written by Prison Break star Wentworth Miller.
The story will center on a teenager (Mulligan) who reconnects with her uncle after the death of her father. The movie is attracting other big names, as well; Jodie Foster is in talks to costar, while Tony and Ridley Scott are eyeing producing credits. Well, I guess that makes Miller's screenplay legit! But I think there's a bigger concern here — between rumors of new projects plus her supposed role in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, how will Mulligan ever find the time?
