Just in time for the conclusion of Twilight, the full trailer for the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's The Host has arrived. This one is a love story too, but this time we've got aliens instead of vampires. We've already seen a teaser for the movie, but this is the first full-length trailer and it shows a lot more of the plot. Saoirse Ronan and Max Irons star as Melanie and Jared, two humans living in a future in which the planet has been overrun by an invading species known as Souls. Soon after meeting and falling in love (I mean, they are some of the last humans on earth), Melanie is captured by the aliens, including The Seeker (Diane Kruger). They attempt to take over her body so it can act as a host for one of them, but her will is strong and she puts up a fight.

This trailer is pretty thrilling and it really gets started when "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons kicks in — talk about a perfect song choice. We've seen movies that take place in the future, but the way they show the aliens taking over bodies and inhabiting the Earth makes the concept still feel fresh — and excessively creepy. The cast of Breaking Dawn Part 2 sat down to a press conference today at Comic-Con — their final one for the Twilight saga at the annual event. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Mackenzie Foy, and author Stephenie Meyer were ready to talk about the last film in the franchise, the difficulty of making sex scenes for a PG-13 film, and the (very funny) challenges that would come up if the films were ever rebooted in the future. On Jacob and Edward's relationship in this film:
Robert Pattinson: "I sacrificed my daughter to him!"
Taylor Lautner: "And that is love . . ."
RP: [joking] "This one is a love story between me and Jacob."
TL: "It is a little bit different, the relationship between all three of us, because it's always been a complicated love triangle, and now it's a square . . . it's become much less complicated."
Kristen Stewart: "It's a perfect circle."

On the physical challenge of this film:
KS: "I had really bad luck with my thumbs. It plagues me actually; both of them are very oddly shaped. Any grimace you see is probably real. Physically, this thing's been more challenging than anything, because even the way she walks into a room is different."

On Kristen becoming vampire Bella:
KS: "Rounding her out was fun and physically really challenging. I remember going to Stephenie on the first day I had to play a vampire, I was like 'Um, Steph, how am I going to sound like wind chimes, you jerk?! That's impossible!'"

Twilight's author is about to sink her teeth into Jane Austen. Stephenie Meyer will produce Austenland, with Keri Russell attached to star in the indie romantic comedy. Russell will play a woman obsessed with one of literature's most famous leading men, Pride and Prejudice's Mr. Darcy. Since no real man can measure up to the fictional character, she goes to a Jane Austen-themed resort where visitors dress and act the part of Austen characters. Jennifer Coolidge, Jane Seymour, and Flight of the Conchords's Bret McKenzie will also costar, and Napoleon Dynamite cowriter Jerusha Hess is set to direct.

With this project, Meyer takes the leap to producing the material of others (she has served as producer of the Twilight films). However, she may still be somewhat in her comfort zone, since this is another book-to-movie project: Austenland is an adaptation of Shannon Hale's novel.

Many Twilight followers consider the third book to be the best, and the same can be argued for its film adaptation (at least so far). From the opening sequence with new character Riley (Xavier Samuel) running through the streets of Seattle, it's obvious that the production value for Eclipse has been upped. The fight scenes feel sharper, the CGI wolves are more lifelike, and even Edward's looks have benefited (yes, Robert Pattinson is even dreamier here than in New Moon).

The story picks up with Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) in their regular meadow, as they discuss Edward's proposal from the last film. Bella has her reservations about saying yes, but her desire to be changed into a vampire is wearing her down. The couple have bigger issues, however; newborn bloodsuckers are on the loose in Seattle, plus Alice (Ashley Greene) foresees Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard)'s return to Forks in search of vengeance.
