Sherlock Holmes 2 Trailer: RDJ and Jude Law Return For Another Bro-Around

Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law had so much comedic chemistry as Sherlock and Watson in the 2009 flick Sherlock Holmes, so nobody was surprised that the pair signed on for a sequel from Guy Ritchie almost immediately.

Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law had so much comedic chemistry as Sherlock and Watson in the 2009 flick Sherlock Holmes, so nobody was surprised that the pair signed on for a sequel from Guy Ritchie almost immediately. In Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, the dynamic duo takes on a pair of new characters: Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris), Holmes's intellectual match; and a mysterious fortune teller (Noomi Rapace), who might just be the key to helping Holmes crack his latest case.

It's fun to see Law and Downey back together again, and the trailer boasts high jinks, cross-dressing, and a couple of man-crush moments. The preview is also bursting with action, from fight scenes to explosions, and while it looks superstylized, might it be trying a little too hard? We'll get an answer when the film hits theaters in December, but watch it for yourself when you read more

Mad Men Casting: Harris and Kartheiser Land Movie Roles

Things may be looking down for Lane Pryce and Pete Campbell on Mad Men, but the careers of their real-life alter egos are definitely on the upswing!

Things may be looking down for Lane Pryce and Pete Campbell on Mad Men, but the careers of their real-life alter egos are definitely on the upswing!

Jared Harris has signed on for the highly coveted role of villain Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes 2, a part that was previously rumored for big names like Daniel Day-Lewis and Brad Pitt. While it's surprising to see the lesser-known Harris beat out such heavyweights, can't you see him in the sinister part?

As for Vincent Kartheiser, he's joining the cast of the Amanda Seyfried-Justin Timberlake sci-fi thriller (previously titled I'm.mortal). But here's the hitch: he'll be playing Seyfried's father. It seems strange to picture Kartheiser as an older dad, although keep in mind that the story centers on a society where no one ages past 25, so perhaps it's not as odd after all.

Buzz In: Which Actors Make the Best Villains?

More casting gossip making the rounds!

More casting gossip making the rounds! According to one website, Guy Ritchie is eyeing Daniel Day-Lewis to play villain Professor Moriarty in the Sherlock Holmes sequel (hmm, I guess this means that Brad Pitt is no longer in the running).

Day-Lewis is a pro at creating chills (see: There Will Be Blood or Gangs of New York), so is it any wonder that he's at the top of Ritchie's list? Of course, he isn't the only one with a penchant for men with a murderous streak. Just think of Willem Dafoe, Mark Strong, or Gary Oldman — all three are often cast as evil types. So, let's brainstorm: which actors or actresses are best when they're playing bad?
