Nicole Richie has already translated her trendsetter status into a full-fledged career as a designer, and now she's bringing her style expertise to TV. Nicole joins forces with fellow fashion success stories Jessica Simpson and John Varvatos to mentor up-and-coming designers on NBC's Fashion Star, which debuts this evening at 9.30 p.m ET on NBC. Nicole chatted with us recently to talk about the project. She explained what sets this series apart from some of the other fashion-focused reality competitions out there, shared her advice for young designers, and talked about what she wished she knew before starting her own lines.

Vinessa Shaw had big shoes to fill when she signed on to play Bonnie Carroll in Big Miracle. As an adviser to President Reagan, Bonnie played a major role in the real-life whale rescue spotlighted in the film, and even met her late husband through their unexpected teamwork on the effort. We sat down with Vinessa and Bonnie at a recent press day for the movie, where they said they formed a quick friendship upon first meeting. In Big Miracle, Kristen Bell plays a young but driven reporter sent to cover a major story unfolding in the Alaskan wilderness. When we recently met with Kristen in LA to talk about the movie, which filmed on location just outside of Anchorage, she told us she was up for the challenges the role presented. Not only did she grow up in Detroit, where the Winters are notoriously harsh, but as an actress, she said she could relate to her character's ambition as well as her career setbacks. Kristen also talked about what it was like to be caught in an onscreen love triangle between Drew Barrymore and her longtime friend John Krasinski, and a magical moment during the shoot that left her feeling "insignificant." In Albert Nobbs, Glenn Close stars as a 19th century woman posing as a man to get by. The movie is out today in wide release and just in time, because Close just earned an Oscar nomination for best actress for the role. Recently, I sat down with Close to chat about bringing the story from the stage to the screen, how she got into character, and why her costume was far more comfortable than what she wears for her TV series Damages.

One Tree Hill recently kicked off its ninth and final season, and I sat down to chat with star James Lafferty about the end of the series and his character, Nathan. Lafferty talked about playing Nathan in various stages of his life, what it means to have Dan (Paul Johansson) back, and how he feels about the show ending. Like the tone of the CW thriller, Polaha says Henry might be going dark, and he also talked about why he wants Henry and Siobhan to get back together. Christina Milian is the newest addition to The Voice in season two, taking over as the social media correspondent when the hit show returns right after the Super Bowl on Feb. 5. We sat down with Christina to chat about joining the show, the big surprises — and exciting names! — to expect when The Voice is back as well as what it was like to become a part of the team. Christina shared about the big personalities of Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, and Cee-Lo Green. Plus, she says she might be raising her own musical little one in her daughter. Kristen Bell stars in the new Showtime series House of Lies as consultant Jeannie Van Der Hooven, a role that's a bit racier than her past work as characters like Veronica Mars. The actress and I sat down to chat about the new show, whether she curses as much as Jeannie in real life, and the challenges she's come across so far. Bell also talked about her upcoming film Everybody Loves Whales, and we addressed her fandom of The Hunger Games, and Bell confessed the lengths she'd go to to be part of the movies.

I recently sat down with Hart of Dixie's Wilson Bethel, who plays the perennially shirtless Wade on the CW series opposite Rachel Bilson's Zoe. Bethel talked about the surprising dimensions Wade has gotten to show, the frequency with which he takes his top off, and of course, dished about what every fan wants to know: what's going on with Zoe and Wade. Bethel talked about their current relationship — and the "sneaking suspicion" he has that they'll get close by the end of the season.
