Now that everyone's lives are somewhat back to normal (read: Fashion Month is over), perhaps we'll all have a little extra time to thumb through some of the stunning November 2012 issues of our favorite magazines.

This month's selection of images runs the gamut from colorful and sparkly, like Taylor Swift on the cover of Glamour, to clean, spare, and high-end — Aymeline Valade's cover of Vogue Japan, on which she wears a piece from Raf Simons's debut couture collection for Christian Dior, is a perfect example.

Erin Wasson Channels Nefertiti in Her Spring 2011 Low Luv Jewelry Collection Lookbook
>> Erin Wasson plays "a goddess, like Nefertiti" in her Spring/Holiday Low Luv collection lookbook, according to Paola Kudacki, who photographed her for the occasion. Wasson's latest offering runs a gamut of inspiration — Native American in the case of a thunderbird pendant and necklace, while Evil Eye stacked rings and bangles represent Middle Eastern culture. Hammered rings, chandelier earrings, and crosses studded with rough crystals and black agates are represented, too. A couple more photos of the collection at the links. [Refinery29, Style File]
>> Dree Hemingway Said to Be Already Booked for Calvin Klein Spring 2010, Is Featured in Purple's "Naked" Series —After walking solely in Givenchy last season, Dree Hemingway reportedly already has a spot on the Spring 2010 Calvin Klein runway — no world on whether it's an exclusive, but regardless, Calvin Klein is the New York show which generally sets the bar, model casting-wise, for the rest of Fashion Month. Dree is also the newest participant (in the past, it's been Chloe Sevigny, Angela Lindvall, Shalom Harlow) in the "Purple Naked" series, captured by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for Purple Fashion #12 — The Imagist has a peek. And if you're dying to see the result of that Purple shoot by Paola Kudacki with Suvi Koponen and Hanne-Gaby Odiele, Models.com has the final cut (NSFW). [Fashionista, The Imagist (NSFW)]
>> Suvi Kopenen Hangs, Flips for Purple Fashion —You hear about models having to hold awkward positions for hours during a photoshoot, but here's some video evidence, straight from the set of the upcoming Purple Fashion (#12, Fall/Winter 2009). Suvi Kuponen hangs over Hanne-Gaby Odiele from the ceiling by her feet, a swing across her chest, and for every shot Paola Kudacki takes, she has to hang her head and then flip it upwards. September Issues: UK Fashion Mags Stick to Models (Save Elle), While US Mags Go with Actresses
>> The biggest issues of the year — for September — are trickling in, so who was chosen to be a big newsstand seller for each major fashion book? Both Harper's Bazaar UK and Vogue UK chose models — Natalia Vodianova by Paola Kudacki and Kate Moss by Mario Testino, respectively — while Harper's Bazaar and Vogue went with actresses — Leighton Meester by Terry Richardson and Charlize Theron (the latter of which is not yet out). American Vogue's choice of an actress is no surprise — in upcoming documentary The September Issue, the magazine's creative director Grace Coddington credits Anna Wintour with foreseeing the power of using celebrities on covers before anyone else — but the model/celebrity divide between the two countries is striking.
Meanwhile at Elle, both UK and US versions chose actresses: the former Lindsay Lohan by Rankin, the latter Jennifer Aniston (a well-known strong newsstand seller) by Alexei Hay.
