The cast of Scream 4 kept the good times rolling last night, heading from their movie premiere to an afterparty at The Redbury Hotel. Courteney Cox stuck close to her costars in the movie, like Neve Campbell, Anna Paquin, Emma Roberts, and Kristen Bell, but she also had her small-screen buddies on hand showing their support. Her friends from Cougar Town like Busy Philipps, Ian Gomez, and her shirtless and bikini-filled vacation buddy Josh Hopkins were on hand to toast Courteney's foray back to the big screen. Even Isla Fisher turned out for the bash during a breaking hanging with her baby daughter Elula.
Javier Bardem Is a Biutiful Sight Despite Golden Globe Surprise
Javier Bardem and his handsome, clean-shaven face were the center of attention at last night's LA screening of Biutiful. The film earned a Golden Globe nomination in the Best Foreign Picture category, though Javier's lack of an acting nod was one of our biggest surprises from yesterday's announcement. The Screen Actors Guild list is out tomorrow, so perhaps we will still be seeing Javier receive award season accolades. Outside of his professional success, Javier has had a landmark year in terms of his personal life. His Summer wedding to Penelope Cruz was among our favorite celebrity nuptials, and the newlyweds are expecting their first baby in 2011! Penelope's bump is well covered up in the first Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides trailer, though hopefully we'll be seeing more of the adorable couple's PDA as they prepare for their exciting arrival. Check out pictures from yesterday's premiere, where both Melanie Griffith and Andy Garcia brought their beautiful daughters Dakota and Dominik.
Jennifer Aniston Gives the 24 Hour Plays Another Go
Jennifer Aniston was spotted out in NYC yesterday afternoon looking stylish in her latest piece of chic denim, and she later made a special cameo in last night's 24 Hour Plays. She joined other actors like Elizabeth Banks, Leslie Bibb, and America Ferrera for the event, which takes place annually in other cities like LA and London. Jen also took part in the dramatic event last year, though she was then accompanied by friends like Naomi Watts and Demi Moore. She returned to the stage during a break from her big-screen projects, which include her soon-to-hit-the-big-screen comedy Just Go With It.
Gwyneth Paltrow, Sofia Vergara, and Ryan Seacrest Stand Up to Cancer Together
Vanessa Hudgens, Kristen Bell, and Mandy Moore walked the red carpet on Friday before heading in to take their seats at the Stand Up 2 Cancer phone banks in LA. The hour-long telethon was broadcast on multiple major networks and streamed across the web, and the effort raised more than $100 million dollars for research in the fight against the disease. Modern Family's Sofia Vergara and mom-to-be Christina Applegate, both of whom battled cancer in the past, proudly modeled t-shirts that read "Survivor."
Gwyneth Paltrow arrived on the West Coast on Thursday, ready to add her support to the event after attending Fashion's Night Out in London last week. She caught up with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, while Rob Lowe joined Diane Lane. Cindy Crawford, and Chuck's Zachary Levi helped in collecting donations, and fresh-from-Mexico Ryan Seacrest also lent his star power to the cause. Contributions to the charity are still being accepted, and they're even open to making good use of Facebook credits!

Artists For Peace and VF Brave Rain For Another Charity Night
The Oscars preparties are already getting underway, and some stars were dressed up to get in the spirit at last night's Artists for Peace and Justice event hosted by Vanity Fair in Beverly Hills. Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt posed with Gerard Butler inside away from the rainy evening in LA. Olivia Wilde and trippy movie all star Ben Stiller also smiled together for the cameras. Kristen Bell matched two fellow attendees — Westfeldt in award season-ready red and AnnaLynne with a one-shoulder dress. McCord was spotted out on a romantic date with Kellan Lutz on Tuesday and she was quickly back to her busy red carpet schedule.

Up and The Hangover Have a Photo Finish at the Box Office

Adults flocked to see The Hangover over the weekend, helping the comedy earn an estimated $43.3 million. However, it wasn't quite enough to bump Pixar's family-friendly movie, Up, out of the top spot with its estimated $44.2 million. Despite coming in second place, The Hangover's debut far exceeded expectations and is "the third best opening ever for an R-rated comedy."
Meanwhile, Will Ferrell's Land of the Lost is being called the first "bomb" of the Summer. The adventure flick, which received pretty bad reviews, came in at No. 3 with only $19.5 million over the weekend.
Nia Vardalos's romantic comedy My Life in Ruins also debuted this weekend, coming in at No. 9.

Movie Preview: I Hate Valentine's Day

Last year I was tickled pink at the idea of a My Big Fat Greek Wedding reunion of Nia Vardalos and John Corbett, but now that I've gotten a peek at the film (which has a limited release starting July 3), I feel like my balloon of excitement and anticipation has deflated with a sad little farty noise.
It's actually not that bad (these actors are still adorable together, after all) — I just wanted a little more for this duo. In the romantic comedy, titled I Hate Valentine's Day, Vardalos plays "a florist who abides by a strict five-date-limit with any man finds herself wanting more with the new restaurateur in town." Corbett plays the restaurateur, of course, and the cast is filled out with various comedic actors like Rachel Dratch and 30 Rock's Judah Friedlander. Preview For My Life in Ruins Is Long, Kinda Boring
First off, this strange little trailer thing with subtitles is freakishly long (over four minutes!) and feels longer. This does not bode well for the comedy from My Big Fat Greek Wedding's Nia Vardalos.
When last we heard about My Life in Ruins, it was because Vardalos became the first filmmaker to be allowed to shoot inside the Acropolis. I was totally excited for this movie at that time. Now? Not so much.
From the trailer I'm guessing that — not unlike My Big Fat Greek Wedding — our protagonist learns how to love herself, loosen up and be confident, and from there everything falls into place for her. But the getting-there part looks ridiculously boring. When the majority of laughs come from Rachel Dratch's supporting character, we're in trouble.
Frankly, I am so disappointed! I really wanted Vardalos to have a big hit with this movie but she just isn't very engaging in the preview. Maybe there will be a better, official trailer before (if?) My Life in Ruins opens in theaters (the date of which is unknown). To check it out for yourself, read more
Do You Prefer Nia Vardalos With Dark or Light Brown Hair?
It looks like the stars from My Big Fat Greek Wedding are back together again filming a new romantic comedy called I Hate Valentine's Day. Not only is Nia Vardalos' hair looking longer than ever, but it's a lot lighter, too. Judging from these two photos, do you like her hair color better light or dark?

It's a Big Fat Reunion for Valentine's Day!

Guess who's reuniting onscreen: the adorable duo of Nia Vardalos and John Corbett for the romantic comedy I Hate Valentine's Day! Vardalos wrote the script and will try her hand at directing the movie which, according to Variety is "described as a comedy for the romantically challenged," and "revolves around a romantic, carefree florist who charms a commitment-phobic restaurant owner into trying her theory of 'relationship-less' dating."
The sweetest thing about this, though? Vardalos is quoted as saying "I am so happy John jumped in and really look forward to working with him — and kissing him — again." Who wouldn't be?! I'm so excited about this news! I love both these actors and they were so endearing together in My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
