Zac Efron Gets YOLO Tattoo on Right Hand Pictures

Zac Efron hosted a screening of his latest film, New Year's Eve last night, before sitting down with press this morning in Tokyo. The romantic comedy took the top place at the box office last weekend, though Zac and his costars will have some stiff competition this weekend when Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and Mission Impossible — Ghost Protocol join the mix of holiday offerings.

Zac debuted his latest tattoo on his right hand during today's promotional appearance. The YOLO design reportedly stands for "you only live once," and it joins a hot feather tattoo inked inside Zac's bicep. Zac's arm muscles and six-pack make him a serious contender for the hottest shirtless star of 2011. He topped our shirtless bracket over the Summer, but he'll need your votes if he's going to overtake the current poll leader, Robert Pattinson.

Stars from Garry Marshall's New Year's Eve came out in their finest holiday attire tonight for the East Coast premiere of the ensemble film. Zac Efron and Michelle Pfeiffer, who were also on hand for Saturday's junket and Monday's LA premiere, hit the carpet in the Big Apple and posed for photos. It was a busy day for Zac who kicked things off with an appearance on Live With Kelly then zoomed over to NBC studios where he sat down for a chat with Jimmy Fallon. Jessica Biel also hit the talk show circuit, and made a sexy appearance on the Late Show wearing a white Victoria Beckham design before changing into a sparkly floor-length Valentino to join her costars at the screening.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick left the kids at home and stepped out together for their latest night on the town. The couple dressed in black tie for the Kennedy Center Honors over the weekend, but for tonight SJP selected a playful gray and white dress, and Matthew modeled a traditional navy suit. Jon Bon Jovi and Taraji P. Henson hit the event solo while Robert De Niro was joined by his lovely wife Grace Hightower.

New Year's Eve Trailer: Kutcher, Efron, Parker, and Many More Start the Countdown

Despite a cast that brings new meaning to the term "star studded," the first New Year's Eve trailer failed to impress me (or most of you, for that matter).

Despite a cast that brings new meaning to the term "star studded," the first New Year's Eve trailer failed to impress me (or most of you, for that matter). Now we've got a full-length look at the movie; though, it still looks cheesy and overly predictable, there are a few improvements.

The first is that we see more of Abigail Breslin — literally. The now-teenage actress is all grownup — though I didn't need to see her bra to prove it — and I'm looking forward to seeing the Little Miss Sunshine star venture into adult territory. Another notable change in the second trailer is that Seth Meyers actually makes me giggle, so that's a win. Regardless, this will probably be the most predictable movie of the year, but it has the spirit of the holiday season working in its favor, as it opens on Dec. 9.

If you remember last year's ensemble comedy

If you remember last year's ensemble comedy Valentine's Day, then you already know everything you need to about New Year's Eve. It's got the same formula — a group of people's love lives intersect in the name of a special time of year — only this time we've got a new holiday and (some) new faces. So who's starring this time around? The laundry list is too long to complete here, but most notably we've got Jessica Biel, Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michele, Zac Efron, Josh Duhamel, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Robert De Niro. Yes, Robert De Niro.

Now, don't get me wrong: I love a good sappy romantic comedy just as much as the next girl, but everything about this trailer just feels so uninspired. Even the couplings failed to pique my interest (something about seeing Rachel Berry getting seduced by scruffy Kutcher made me feel icky). Perhaps I'm being too harsh though, so check it out and judge for yourself when you read more

Ashton Kutcher and Lea Michele Lock Lips For New Year's Eve

The NYC set of Valentine's Day, headed to the Big Apple following a promotional trip to Austin for SXSW.

The NYC set of New Year's Eve got another dose of star power when Ashton Kutcher and Lea Michele showed up to shoot yesterday. They were in front of the cameras for a kissing scene after Halle Berry, Katherine Heigl, a pregnant Alyssa Milano, and Ryan Seacrest all got into character for the film. The movie is Lea's very first, and she's juggling her big-screen duties with her work on Glee. She even made sure to record last night's episode of her show since she wasn't able to watch it live. Ashton, who was part of the ensemble cast of Valentine's Day, headed to the Big Apple following a promotional trip to Austin for SXSW.

Ryan Seacrest

Ryan Breaks From New Year's Eve For a City Stroll With Julianne

Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough were arm in arm yesterday for a walk in NYC. She accompanied her boyfriend on the trip to the East Coast, where he shot a cameo for New Year's Eve. He was occupied with the movie on Monday night, as he was spotted filming a Times Square countdown scene with the city's mayor, Michael Bloomberg, that was reminiscent of Ryan's real-life tasks on December 31. Ryan even tweeted to fans that he was happy to have rehearsed the role beforehand. His stint on set freed up Rock of Ages star Julianne to catch up with old friends, though she's been plenty busy lately between her date nights with Ryan and their global jet-setting.

Alyssa Milano Talks Motherhood With Halle Berry During Downtime on Set

Alyssa Milano scrubbed in on the set of New Year's Eve in NYC yesterday.

Alyssa Milano scrubbed in on the set of New Year's Eve in NYC yesterday. She's the most recent star to dress up in medical gear for the cameras after Halle Berry donned a similar blue ensemble on Tuesday. The pregnant actress has apparently been getting plenty of parenting advice from her costars, with Halle being the latest to talk about the experience of motherhood. Some words of wisdom have been harsh but reassuring for Alyssa, but the mom-to-be insists that the tips make her feel much better. Alyssa has a little while to go before the birth of her first child, which means she can fully enjoy her time at work with the rest of the ensemble cast including Robert De Niro.

Katherine Heigl Steps Onto New Year's Eve Set Instead of Halle Berry

Katherine Heigl had assistance with her umbrella this morning on the NYC set of New Year's Eve. The actress is the latest to join the star-studded cast that includes Zac Efron, Sienna Miller, and Jessica Biel. Katherine took over a part that originally belonged to Halle Berry, who dropped out to focus her attentions on her battle for custody of her daughter, Nahla, with ex Gabriel Aubry. One of Katherine's other costars in the comedy, Ashton Kutcher, has been lucky to escape the cold temperatures — he's been working on his tan and enjoying a Brazilian vacation with Demi Moore. The Garry Marshall-directed movie will reunite Killers leading man and woman Ashton and Katherine, and hopefully their second big-screen effort will fare better critically than the first.
