I don't know what it is, but Coachella's second day felt even more crowded and crazy than the first! Audiences kept the energy pumping into the wee hours, and yes, the glow sticks came out. I need a breather after all the excitement, but it's your turn for a taste of the mania. Here are the five big acts that had fans bouncing and clapping all day long (and don't forget to follow me on Twitter for festival updates and celeb sightings — yesterday I snapped photos with Rachel Bilson and Kellan Lutz who was hanging in the H&M tent!).
>> Riccardo Tisci's Muse Mariacarla Boscono Talks How She and the Designer Met — In the Spring 2010 issue of Muse, Mariacarla Boscono was asked about how she came to meet Riccardo Tisci: "Aaah . . . Ricky! Just last night I was looking at old pictures of us! I first was his friend, we met when we both lived in London, I was just satarting out and thinking of becoming a model, he was at St. Martin's College thinking of becoming a designer. Since the day we met we were inseparable, we did everything together. It's very important for me to have him in my life. It's someone I find very inspiring, and I believe he feels the same way about me. Inspiring, not only when it comes to fashion, but in life in general: we like to do the same things, we speak the same language, we like to go out, travel, meet people on the streets . . . I am a sponge, I like living life, meet as many people as possible, and he is the same." [TFS]
New Music: Muse's B-Side "Prague"
Hey, Muse fanatics, I have some ear candy for you: the B-side to the band's single "Resistance" was recently released online for a listen.
I love checking out B-sides, because they're often such a one-off from the usual fare, and "Prague" is no exception. A cover of the '80s band Mega City Four, Muse put their own decidedly darker spin on the punk tune. Actually, it feels heavier than most of the songs on their album The Resistance — no get up and go, like we heard on "Uprising" or on the title track, though the passionate feel is still here, albeit much, much slower.
Give it a listen, and tell me your thoughts!
Lindsay Lohan Is Easily a Muse
Lindsay Lohan is the cover star for an upcoming issue of the Italian magazine Muse that hits newsstands tomorrow. LL recently got a little wild during the shoot at the Chateau Marmont, which the photographer Yu Tsai says was inspired by the '90s look of Kate Moss and Johnny Depp. Joining Lindsay in the spread is male model Petey Wright and one of her friends, Sofia Boutella. It's set to be 18 pages long, but we have a first look at a few of the sometimes scandalous images — an accompanying video will debut tomorrow on YouTube.

What to Download: New Music Today
Tuesdays are big in entertainmentville: not only do all the new DVD releases hit Netflix, but new music also pours into stores. So I take a spin through each week's music releases and pick out some albums and tracks worthy of a download.
An amicable breakup: I thought Scarlett Johansson's album of Tom Waits covers was just OK, but her second effort really showcases her vocal talent. Paired with alt-country artist Pete Yorn, the two created Break Up, an album inspired by the '60s-era recordings of Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot. Despite its title, the record is surprisingly upbeat. Many of you enjoyed the first single, the retro-twangy "Relator," when it debuted in May, and ultimately, it's still my favorite track. The rest of the album sounds more run-of-the-mill, but Johansson's sultry voice adds a lot of flavor to Yorn's music. Also worth hearing: "Clean" and "Wear and Tear."

Rebel yell: I wasn't that familiar with UK band Muse, but their performance at Sunday's VMAs was foot-thumping fun. (Some of you even said they were your favorite act.) Now comes their fifth studio release, The Resistance. My favorite track, "United States of Eurasia/Collateral Damage," is reminiscent of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," and the entire album has a similar rock opera feeling. The guys are reportedly contributing to the New Moon soundtrack, but until then, check out "Eurasia," "Unnatural Selection," and "Uprising."

>> More September Issue Dish: A New LOVE Preview and a Whole Muse Devoted to Natasha Poly —LOVE just released a new preview featuring 13-year-old blogger Tavi of Style Rookie in addition to the first one from earlier this week. Add Twilight's Taylor Lautner, Taylor Swift, and the Willis Sisters — who were photographed back in May — to the list of "New Blood" featured; so far, the only fashion kids listed are Alexander Wang and Allegra Versace. Meanwhile, it the spirit of the recent influx of model-dedicated issues, Muse is devoting their entire Fall/Winter 2009 issue to Natasha Poly: among the contributors are Richard Phillips, and if it coincides with a clue on The Imagist, Craig McDean and Terry Richardson, as well. Shu Uemura 2007 Holiday Muse Collection
Just out from Shu Uemura is the 2007 Holiday Muse collection. This rich and sinfully decadent line is filled with warm browns and beiges, deep reds and—of course—tons of gold and metallics. The collection was developed by celebrity makeup artist and Artistic Director for Shu Uemura USA, Gina Brooke.
Gina's inspiration came from the flattering and very seductive amber hue of a candlelit room. Imagining a woman who epitomizes luxury as her muse, she tried to capture that air of radiant sophistication.
The collection includes three new shades of Rouge Unlimited lipstick in Gold Beige, Pink Beige and Chocolate Brown ($23 each), silver glitter mascara ($30), two limited-edition nail polishes in Gold Beige and Chocolate Brown ($16 each) and two amazing eye shadow palettes in Dignified Grace (four warm golden shades, $65) and Enchanting Charisma (four soft neutral shades, $65).
So far my favorite product is the Dignified Grace shadow palette, but I haven't tried everything quite yet. Does this muse seem to be drawing you in?
NME Shockwaves Awards Get Creative
The Shockwave Awards, chosen by readers of the excellent British music mag NME, are like a cross between the Grammys and the MTV Movie Awards. There are all of the usual categories, like Best New Band and Best Album, plus some completely wacky ones, including Worst Band and Worst Dressed, which makes them more fun than our stodgy Grammys.

More than anything, of course, the Shockwaves are a place to see and be seen. This year's ceremony, held Thursday in London, was attended by hipsters galore: Jarvis Cocker and the Gossip's Beth Ditto, Kate Moss and Pete Doherty, Franz Ferdinand, and the Killers, who won for Best Video.
