Matthew Goode stars in Stoker, which is out today, alongside costars Nicole Kidman and Mia Wasikowska. It's a psychological thriller from Korean director Park Chan-wook, who was behind the well-received 2003 film Oldboy. Nicole plays Evie, Mia's mother in the film, and their world is turned upside down by the death of Evie's husband and the arrival of his brother Charlie, played by Matthew — check out the Stoker trailer.

We caught up with Matthew at a press day yesterday, when he shared five surprising tidbits about Stoker — including the fact that it was written by actor Wentworth Miller. Click through to read all five of Matthew's quotes.

Nicole Kidman Has a Fresh-Off-the-Runway Dress For Her Stoker Premiere

Nicole Kidman joined her Stoker costars Mia Wasikowska and Matthew Goode in London last night for a special screening.

Nicole Kidman joined her Stoker costars Mia Wasikowska and Matthew Goode in London last night for a special screening. Decked out in a dress from her designer friend L'Wren Scott, Nicole posed for photos both inside and outside of the city's Curzon Soho theater. Having the screening in the UK may have helped Nicole get her hands on the dress — it was fresh of the runway of L'Wren Scott's Autumn/Winter 2013 show that took place in London on Saturday! Stoker is out in both the UK and the US on March 1. Stoker debuted at Sundance last month, though, to quite good early reviews.

Nicole Kidman showed off her wintry chic style in a fitted coat at the Sundance Film Festival premiere of her thriller Stoker on Sunday afternoon. Once inside the screening, Nicole showed off a very formfitting dress on stage. She was joined by her costars Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode, and Dermot Mulroney on the red carpet. We got a first look at the movie's creepy vibe when the Stoker trailer was released in the Fall, and last night the audience was finally treated to Korean director Chan-wook Park's latest. Nicole then went on to party the night away with fellow festivalgoers. Nicole is coming right off her glamorous Golden Globes night with husband Keith Urban, though he skipped out on the trip to Park City, UT.

Stoker Trailer: Nicole Kidman Could Use Some Parenting Classes

Think your mom can be kind of mean sometimes?

Think your mom can be kind of mean sometimes? Watch the severely troubling trailer for Stoker and thank your lucky stars she's not crazy-eyed Evie Stoker (Nicole Kidman). We're introduced to Evie as she's talking to her daughter, India, played by Mia Wasikowska. "I can't wait for life to rip you apart," she says as India shivers in the corner. It's not exactly the heartfelt talk you'd expect to get after your father dies, as India's has in the film. The trailer goes on to show Evie getting close to India's uncle Charlie (Matthew Goode), which creates problems for the whole family — especially when we learn that Uncle Charlie really has his sights set on India.

Nicole Kidman is a powerful actress, but this one might be too creepy for me. From the sound effects to the digitized spider crawling up India's sock, this trailer had me squirming. The movie is set for a March 1 release, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.

Robert and Kristen Leave the BAFTAs Together!

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart kept their distance on the red carpet at last night's BAFTA Awards in London, but they moved on to the official afterparty together with their fellow Twilight star Anna Kendrick. There was some celebrating for the friends to do, as Kristen took home the evening's Rising Star award and thanked all the Twilight fans for the honor. Robert also had a moment on stage presenting during the show — check out the video. They were joined by other winners like Carey Mulligan and Colin Firth for the bash at the Grosvenor House Hotel, but it was just Robert and Kristen who were spotted heading home in the same car. It's the first time since their New Year's getaway in England that we've seen the lovebirds together, and hopefully there's even more to come before she heads back to the US.

Leap Year: A Romantic Romantic Comedy

I dreaded seeing Leap Year after I watched the trailer — the premise looked unimaginative and sexist.

I dreaded seeing Leap Year after I watched the trailer — the premise looked unimaginative and sexist. Anna (Amy Adams) is ready to get married, so she seizes on a tradition her father tells her about: in Ireland, women "can" propose to men on the day Leap Year falls on, Feb. 29. Her journey to Dublin to chase down her boyfriend ends up as a series of pratfalls with handsome, devil-may-care stranger Declan (a gorgeously unkempt Matthew Goode).

Let's just say I wasn't psyched about another rom-com fueled by the idea that all women need marriage to feel complete. And it was poor, Oscar-nominated Amy Adams being sacrificed, klutzing her way through desperation to win her man. But a funny thing happened at the theater: Leap Year surprised me. The premise becomes a mere platform for Anna and Declan's sweet, simmering courtship, and I found something that eludes most romantic comedies: romance.

I didn't immediately take to the movie though; it had to win me over. To see what I mean, just read more

A Single Man: Beautiful and Flawed

Tom Ford's directorial debut, A Single Man, is reminiscent of one of the designer's Gucci suits: beautiful, expensive-looking, sumptuous — but lacking the impeccable tailoring that he's known for.

Tom Ford's directorial debut, A Single Man, is reminiscent of one of the designer's Gucci suits: beautiful, expensive-looking, sumptuous — but lacking the impeccable tailoring that he's known for. However, it's a solid effort from Ford, who has gathered all the right elements, including a talented cast led by Colin Firth and Julianne Moore.

The film is set in 1960s LA, where college professor George (Firth) is grieving after losing his boyfriend of 16 years, Jim, to a car accident. Eight months after Jim's death, the movie depicts a day in George's life as he struggles to keep it together without his partner.

Ford is ambitious as a filmmaker, and I wouldn't expect anything less from him. It's clear that he wants A Single Man to succeed on all levels of cinema — performance, aesthetics, story. It's over-the-top though; too arty, too pretentious, too desperate to be rewarded (the dialogue-free trailer alone is reaching). But it's not bad for a first project, and there's a lot to appreciate, so to hear my thoughts on the film, just read more

Movie Preview: Amy Adams in Leap Year

You can rarely accuse a romantic comedy of being original, and the set up for Leap Year is no different.

You can rarely accuse a romantic comedy of being original, and the set up for Leap Year is no different. Amy Adams stars as Anna, a woman who's waiting for her boyfriend (Adam Scott) to propose when she learns that according to Irish tradition, women are "allowed" to propose to men on February 29, leap day. She chases him to Dublin and when she's diverted to Wales, meets a handsome stranger (Matthew Goode) who makes her rethink her scheme and relationship. Stop groaning.

I know the movie sounds cliche and sexist, yet I can't dismiss anything with Adams in it — her charm is just too powerful! Seriously, though, amid the mildly offensive plot details and too-familiar setting (how many times have we seen that stuck-in-the-road-while-cows-cross scene?), Adams still shines along with her freakishly dreamy foil, Matthew Goode. Take a look at the trailer to see for yourself, and watch out for a small bit from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Kaitlin Olson, when you read more

Movie Preview: Colin Firth in A Single Man

When was the last time you were transfixed by a preview completely without dialogue?

When was the last time you were transfixed by a preview completely without dialogue? The trailer for the 1960s-set A Single Man instead relies on its visual strength, which it has in spades — not a complete surprise considering this is designer Tom Ford's directorial debut (and word is they have Mad Men's production design group).

Based on the Christopher Isherwood novel of the same name, A Single Man focuses on the unraveling of a man (Firth) after his partner dies. The trailer is filled with beauty and beauties in pain — watch for Julianne Moore, Matthew Goode, Ginnifer Goodwin and Lee Pace in the moody clip. I'm very curious about this movie, if only to see how fashion force Ford handles himself in this entirely different medium. His aesthetic is very sensual, which I hope translates to the screen. And I'd see nearly anything Coiln Firth is in.
