What to Rent: New DVDs This Week

Limitless Bradley Cooper stars in this thriller as Eddie, an author who finds the cure for his writer's block in the form of a new drug.

Limitless

Bradley Cooper stars in this thriller as Eddie, an author who finds the cure for his writer's block in the form of a new drug. Once he's on AZT, he can access 100% of his brainpower, which takes him from zero to hero in a matter of days. Things start to spiral out of control when Eddie learns of the pill's dangerous side effects, and when those around him start figuring out his secret and want in on the action. Though the plot meanders a bit, it's still a fun ride that confirms Cooper as a marketable leading man. The DVD extras include an alternate ending, an unrated extended cut, deleted scenes and a couple of making-of featurettes.

Take Me Home Tonight

Topher Grace goes totally '80s in this comedy as a college grad who gets a second chance at his dream girl (Teresa Palmer) over the course of one party-filled night. The film boasts every cliché from the decade you could possibly imagine, and though Grace and Palmer have sweet chemistry, overall it doesn't break any new ground. Extras on the DVD include several deleted scenes, a "music boom box" feature, the trailer, and a Take Me Home Tonight music video.

Box Office: Easter Comes Early For Hop

Who says holiday movies are only for December?

Who says holiday movies are only for December? Russell Brand's animated bunny film Hop easily took the top spot at the box office in its opening weekend, taking in an impressive $38.1 million. Despite an SNL appearance by Jake Gyllenhaal himself, newbie action flick Source Code trailed in second with $15 million. Horror flick Insidious took third with $13.4 million, while former number one movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules slid to fourth with $10.2 million. Limitless clung onto a top five spot with $9.4 million.

Bradley Cooper's Limitless Charm Wins Over More Fans as The Hangover Part II Trailer Debuts!

Bradley Cooper is the latest celebrity to join in the fun on Spain's El Hormiguero TV program yesterday.

Bradley Cooper is the latest celebrity to join in the fun on Spain's El Hormiguero TV program yesterday. Orlando Bloom was recently coaxed into wearing a blond wig, and Jennifer Aniston planted a kiss on the famous purple ant puppet during her visit. It seems Bradley was willing to blow up balloons and play games while chatting up his latest blockbuster, Limitless. The film was box office champion for its opening weekend in the States, and now he's in the midst of promoting the thriller overseas. Meanwhile, Bradley inadvertently pulled an early April Fools' joke last week when he teased that The Hangover Part II trailer was going to drop today, but it actually was released last night — check out the wild and crazy preview on Buzz!

Bradley Cooper brought his box office hit Limitless to Berlin for a photo call today.

Bradley Cooper brought his box office hit Limitless to Berlin for a photo call today. He's back overseas with the film after premiering it in NYC earlier this month. We chatted with the star about his love scenes with Abbie Cornish and he also touched on his role in this Summer's The Hangover Part II. The sequel doesn't hit theaters until May 26, but you can get a glimpse at the debauchery to come in the poster and the full trailer, which comes out on Friday.

Box Office: Diary of a Wimpy Kid Stands Tall Against the Competition

Bradley Cooper and Zack Snyder were no match for a wimpy kid at the box office this weekend, as Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules was the top earner with $24.4 million.

Bradley Cooper and Zack Snyder were no match for a wimpy kid at the box office this weekend, as Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules was the top earner with $24.4 million. Snyder's Sucker Punch proved to be all bark and no bite (perhaps due in part to bad reviews), earning $19 million. Last week's champ Limitless dropped to third with $15.2 million, while Matthew McConaughey's The Lincoln Lawyer stayed in fourth with $11 million. Rango rounded out the top five with $9.8 million.

Bradley Cooper Talks Limitless's Success and That Hangover Part II Teaser

It's a good time to be Bradley Cooper.

It's a good time to be Bradley Cooper. The actor currently has a number one movie at the box office in Limitless, and is about to embark on yet another promotional tour for The Hangover Part II. I caught up with the actor this morning about how relieved he is now that Limitless is a success and gearing up for The Hangover sequel — with a new, longer trailer that hits next week!

BuzzSugar: How was it watching the film for the first time?
Bradley Cooper: Being an executive producer, I got to see the movie like 100 times. We did a lot of reshoots and adding and voice-over. You're constantly tweaking it, so there was no first time I saw the movie.

BS: Was it different watching it with an audience?
BC: I saw it with an audience at the premiere, and premiere audience is always hard to tell, but they seemed to really like it.

BS: You're obviously still promoting the movie; is it less stressful now that it's already out?
BC: Oh my god, yeah.

BS: You're going to seamlessly transition into promoting The Hangover Part II. Do you feel like there's less pressure on you since the movie was such a success?
BC: I think there's pressure with any movie. There's no scenario in which there's no pressure, if you want it to do well, which I assume one would. If anything, there's maybe more pressure with the second one just because there's a built-in audience that you don't want to disappoint.

BS: We've only seen a short teaser for the movie; will we get to see more before the release?
BC: There's a big trailer coming out April 1.

BS: We'll mark our calendar! Do you think the less you know about this movie, the better?
BC: I gotta say, that's one of my favorite teasers of all time. Todd [Phillips] just knows how to sell and tell a story. You want to entice the viewer without saturating the viewer with the whole story, then there's nothing to see.

Box Office: Bradley Cooper Really Is Limitless

Limitless lived up to its title in its opening weekend by coming in first at the box office.

Limitless lived up to its title in its opening weekend by coming in first at the box office. The dizzying drug drama starring Bradley Cooper earned a total of $19 million, besting the rest of the weekend's offerings. In second place was the Johnny Depp-voiced animated film Rango with $15.3 million.

In third place was last weekend's champion, action flick Battle: Los Angeles, with a total of $14.6 million. Unlike Limitless, the other new releases didn't fare so well, but still managed to make it into the top five. The Lincoln Lawyer came in the fourth spot with $13.4 million, and goofball alien comedy Paul was right behind it with $13.2 million.
