I Am Number Four Trailer: Alex Pettyfer Is an Alien in America

Good-looking aliens, anyone? In our first look at I Am Number Four, the sci-fi flick written by James Frey, the preview offers up chiseled British newcomer Alex Pettyfer.

Good-looking aliens, anyone? In our first look at I Am Number Four, the sci-fi flick written by James Frey, the preview offers up chiseled British newcomer Alex Pettyfer. Though you may recognize him from the trailer for the teen romance Beastly, his costar is a little more familiar to the BuzzSugar reader: it's Glee's Dianna Agron. Agron plays the human love interest to Pettyfer's alien character, the titular number four who's on the run from enemies who wish to kill him. His hiding spot? Ohio.

Check out the action in the trailer (including Agron getting down and dirty with heavy weaponry) when you read more

Dianna Agron Is Number Four's Lovah

Hope you're ready for the Glee kids to spring out of your TV and onto the big screen!

Hope you're ready for the Glee kids to spring out of your TV and onto the big screen! Hot on the trail of last week's news that Corey Monteith will star in Monte Carlo comes word that Dianna Agron, aka Quinn, has landed the role of the romantic lead in I Am Number Four, the film adaption of James Frey's science fiction novel.

I Am Number Four is the story of a group of aliens hiding out on Earth in human form, and Beastly's Alex Pettyfer plays the titular number four whom Agron's human character falls for. As one of my fave gleeks, Agron is someone whose presence in movies I look forward to (she's in The Romantics next). Oh, and if her alien-loving character sings, I'll be pleased as punch.

Michael Bay and James Frey May Team Up For Sci-Fi Movies

Yeah, you read those names correctly.

Yeah, you read those names correctly. Michael Bay, director of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, is in talks to produce and possibly direct a sci-fi movie franchise based on a six-book young adult series that has yet to be published.

This news in and of itself isn't all that earth-shattering but the interesting part is that the project is reportedly being co-written by James Frey. You know, the guy who got yelled at by Oprah on the air for stretching the truth in his so-called memoir A Million Little Pieces.

The first book, titled I Am Number Four is about:

. . . a group of nine alien teenagers on a planet called Lorien, which is attacked by a hostile race from another planet. The nine and their guardians evacuate to Earth, where three are killed. The protagonist, a Lorien boy named John Smith, hides in Paradise, Ohio, disguised as a human, trying to evade his predators and knowing he is next on their list.

Sounds like a pretty solid premise for young adult fiction and for a movie. What do you think? Are you surprised Frey had something like this in him?
