Jada Pinkett Smith Talks High-Powered Partnership with Husband Will Smith
Jada Pinkett Smith not only stars on HawthoRNe, but she's also the executive producer of the TV show. She's half of one of Hollywood's biggest power couples, and husband Will Smith also contributes to the show. Last night Jada chatted with Chelsea Handler about what it's like to work with a spouse. Jada explained that while things get sticky sometimes, since she and Will each have distinctive styles, working together comes with perks. Watch her explain that there's nothing like creating something successful with the person you love.

Will Smith Is Happy to Let Everyone Else Have the Spotlight
Will Smith was decked out in Nike to pace around the LA set of HawthoRNe yesterday afternoon while Jada Pinkett-Smith worked in front of the cameras. Will made a brief cameo on an episode during the show's first season, and this week the cast welcomed another celebrity guest star, Marc Anthony. He is reportedly making a special appearance on the series, which marks his return to acting after starring with Jennifer Lopez in El Cantante, and the two brought twins Max and Emme along for the shoot. The Smiths are gearing up for another member of their family's big projects — Jaden is taking his turn as a leading man in the remake of The Karate Kid coming out this Summer.

All kinds of Alias fans, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith fans, and plain ol' muffin fans submitted some very funny suggestions for this week's Caption It challenge:

Now it's time to choose your favorite. Here are this week's finalists:

- "So, his life got flipped, then turned upside down?"
- "Suuuure, blame it on the poppyseeds in the muffins..."

Caption It!
Welcome to the Caption It game on BuzzSugar! Every Wednesday, I'll post a photo still from a TV show or movie here and challenge you to think of the most hilarious caption possible. I'll announce the finalists the following Tuesday, and you'll get to vote for the best caption!
Another week, another condom-related Caption It challenge. In the poll for last week's photo from I Love You, Beth Cooper, misshouston is winning with this caption:
"Heyyy, guys, I brought condoms for everybo—whoa! I think we may have to share..."
Ha! That one cracked me up as well. Congrats, misshouston. Now for this week's challenge with the ever-handsome Michael Vartan in TNT's HawthoRNe:

I could totally go for one of those muffins right now. Anyway, leave your captions in the comment space below before 5 p.m. PDT on Monday, July 20 to be considered for a spot in the voting round. Have fun!

TV Tonight: The Series Premiere of TNT's HawthoRNe
Tonight Jada Pinkett Smith returns to the small screen for the first time in years. She stars in the new TNT drama, HawthoRNe. Like another new show, Showtime's Nurse Jackie, HawthoRNe follows the personal and professional tribulations of a nurse.
Christina Hawthorne (Smith) may be small, but when it comes to fighting for her patients and their families, she's a force to be reckoned with. By the looks of preview clips and the scene I've included below, this is one TV nurse who is bound to make a lasting impression.
In addition to fighting for her patients at work, Hawthorne fights to remain sane at home. The show takes place one year after her husband's death and we watch the tough nurse struggle to manage her own grief while also trying to be there for her rebellious daughter, Camille. The show also stars Michael Vartan as chief of surgery and Suleka Mathew, among others. Her personal life aside, Hawthorne seems like the kind of flawed but dedicated nurse people might look up to.
After the jump I have a preview clip from tonight's premiere, so read more
First Look: Hawthorne
Nurses: so hot on TV right now? That seems to be the case. In addition to the nursing series called Mercy that NBC just picked up, this June will bring two new tough nurses to the TV scene: Nurse Jackie (Edie Falco) on Showtime and Christina Hawthorne (Jada Pinkett Smith) of TNT's Hawthorne.
In Hawthorne, which premieres June 16, Smith plays the head nurse at Richmond Trinity Hospital. She's the kind of person who doesn't back down from protecting her patients — and that can leave her on the wrong side of her colleagues (or even the law), as we glimpse in the promo below. The show also stars Michael Vartan and Suleka Mathew, among others.
If you know any real-life nurses, TNT's running a fun sweepstakes that will end with one lucky nurse winning a Los Angeles spa vacation. Pass that link on to them by May 27, and in the meantime, check out the Hawthorne promo when you read more
