The Bible, Williamsburg, and Clarissa Explains It All were all the topic of funny tweets this week. On Twitter, our favorite women like screenwriter Diablo Cody or The Daily Show correspondent Samantha Bee had us laughing, cracking jokes about their ironic kids or airbrushed side boobs. Sandra Bullock Will Break the Law to Get Her Favorite Christmas Meal
Sandra Bullock wore a loose blue dress yesterday to sit down for a chat with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. The actress was out and about chatting up her upcoming film Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, which she promoted last week in NYC. While in the Big Apple, Sandra spoke about how she's prepping for her second Christmas with her young son Louis. She plans to spoil him with plenty of presents and even laughed with Today's Matt Lauer about getting Louis a G-V jet!
Last night, Sandra Bullock's Christmas traditions were also up for discussion. She revealed one meal that she and her German relatives just have to have even though it's technically illegal! She said, "Since my mother passed, we break the law, because we have to manage to smuggle German sausages into the country, and apparently bringing meats across the waters is against the law . . . You fry 'em up with some sauerkraut and potato salad, but they have to be the right ones."
Charlize Theron Toasts Her Golden Globe Nomination With a Premiere
Charlize Theron stepped out in Beverly Hills last night for a Young Adult premiere held at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. She donned a dress from Stella McCartney to pose on the red carpet along with costars Patton Oswalt and Elizabeth Reaser, as well as the movie's writer Diablo Cody. It was a extraspecial screening for Charlize, because earlier in the day she made the list of 2012 Golden Globe nominees! Charlize was pleased with the accolade, saying yesterday, "Yeah, these are the moments where you go, what did I do in a past life to deserve all of this? It's all too much."
Her character, a 30-something author who returns to her hometown to try and win back her now-married ex-boyfriend, is a controversial one. Playing the role opened Charlize's eyes about portraying someone unlikeable and also taught her about some weird female habits. In particular, Charlize doesn't get Hello Kitty. She said recently, "I'm pretty amazed by Hello Kitty. I see so many women in their 30s walking around in Hello Kitty sh—t, and nobody is concerned for them. It's the one iconic teenage symbol that seems OK for women in their 30s? The world seems to not have an issue with it."
Diablo Cody on Being a Compulsive Googler and Charlize Theron's "Perfect" DNA
Diablo Cody is known for her witty, sharp dialogue for coming-of-age characters, and her latest project, Young Adult, opening in limited release this Friday, touches on that very topic with a new twist. We spoke to Diablo about changing Charlize Theron's "perfect DNA" into a "haggard and pitiful" character. She also talked about being a compulsive Googler and her obsession with high school themes. Watch now to hear more!
Russell Brand and Julianne Hough Hit Vegas For Diablo Cody
Now that she's not penning United States of Tara anymore, Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody has set her sights on her next endeavor: directing. Russell Brand and Julianne Hough will star in a new film directed by Cody, which doesn't have a title just yet.
The film follows a woman (Hough) who heads to Las Vegas after a plane crash changes her outlook on life. There, she meets a man (Brand) with whom she forms an unlikely bond and finds her way in life. Hough and Brand are an atypical casting duo, but they're not exactly strangers — the pair will star in next year's Rock of Ages. As for Cody, I'm a fan of hers despite my feelings about Jennifer's Body, and I'm looking forward to seeing what she can do behind the camera.

Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody to Reunite, Now With Charlize
When director Jason Reitman and writer Diablo Cody joined forces for Juno, it was a match made in Hollywood (and Oscar-winning) heaven. Now we'll find out if lightning can strike twice, as Reitman and Cody are putting their heads together once again for Young Adult, with Charlize Theron in talks to star in the film. Theron would play a novelist for young adults who returns to her hometown to try to reconnect with an ex-boyfriend from her past. It's being labeled as a dark comedy, but let's hope it's not Jennifer's Body dark. This is quite the triumvirate of heavy-hitters, so let's just say they've set the bar pretty high for themselves.

Hot Video: Diablo Cody Interviews Adam Brody From Her Trailer
Be still my O.C.-lovin' heart! I've always had a crush on Adam Brody (aka Seth Cohen, the epitome of all things geek-tastic), and it's still alive and well thanks to this video of the actor being interviewed by Diablo Cody. Cody has just started a quirky online show called Red Band Trailer, where she chats with celebs from her Airstream. It's kind of like her version of Between Two Ferns, except less awkward and actually informative. For example, do you remember Brody in the made-for-TV movie Growing Up Brady?

In her first episode, Cody talks with Brody to ask about his fan following, his favorite drummer, and, yep, Captain Oats (whatever happened to that horse?). It may be long, but trust me, it's worth it if you appreciate Cody's brand of snark, or just Brody's charm. Bonus: watch for a dig at Kristen Stewart and a funny "cameo" from Robert Pattinson around the nine-minute mark. Just read more
Diablo Cody Gets Sincere About Women in Hollywood
Oscar-winning writer Diablo Cody sat down with fans in San Francisco for a Q and A this past weekend to discuss the season finale of United States of Tara, her just-finished screenplay for Sweet Valley High, and her film Jennifer's Body. The plan was to watch the "much misunderstood" Jennifer's Body in a "neo-sincere" environment and then discuss. (In case you're wondering, a neo-sincere person is post ironic; someone who knows she can make fun of something, but doesn't need to.) The Juno writer, who is very pregnant herself, had much to say about women and feminism in Hollywood. I happened to attend, so here's some insight I picked up.
On how United States of Tara represents a theme found in all her work: "I feel like everything I've done has dealt with exactly the same thing – about being a female, but not being able to decide what type of female you want to be. I feel like I'm in conflict, personally."
On Sweet Valley High: "It's another f*cking moving about the Madonna and the Whore running around wreaking havoc."
On Megan Fox: "People really hate Megan. She's a really nice girl. She's just outspoken."
On a Hollywood double standard: "Women aren't allowed to be anti-heroes or flawed. Megan got lambasted for talking about Michael Bay. Shia LaBeouf criticized another director, and he got called 'refreshing' and 'honest,' while Megan is a bimbo who should never work again. Women aren't allowed to be as complicated as men."
