Julia Roberts Catches Up With Handsome Pals Dermot and Ewan

Julia Roberts met up with some of her famous friends for lunch at Hal's Bar and Grill in Venice, CA, yesterday.

Julia Roberts met up with some of her famous friends for lunch at Hal's Bar and Grill in Venice, CA, yesterday. She was joined by her August: Osage County costars Ewan McGregor (and his wife, Eve Mavrakis), Dermot Mulroney, and Julianne Nicholson for a casual meal. Filming has reportedly wrapped on the production, but it appears the friends are intent on keeping in touch. Julia's next project pairs her with another fellow A-lister, Brad Pitt. Brad's production company, Plan B, is producing
The Normal Heart, which is set to star Julia alongside Matt Bomer and Alec Baldwin.

As for Ewan, he's got an exciting few months ahead. His name has been thrown around recently as Oscar buzz is building around his gripping role in The Impossible. It appears Ewan's already got Angelina Jolie on his side, so it's possible he could get Julia's support as well. Dermot may not be in the hunt for an Academy Award, but he does have his sights set on Park City. Dermot's forthcoming project The Rambler is among the first-round films announced for 2013's official Sundance Film Festival lineup.

Kellan Debuts Love, Wedding, Marriage With Leading Ladies Jessica and Jane, but No Mandy

Kellan Lutz suited up for the red carpet at last night's LA premiere of Love, Wedding, Marriage.

Kellan Lutz suited up for the red carpet at last night's LA premiere of Love, Wedding, Marriage. His onscreen wife, Mandy Moore, wasn't on hand for the festivities, but Kellan was joined by costars including Jane Seymour, Jessica Szohr, and Dermot Mulroney. The romantic comedy features some shirtless shots of Kellan, and Mandy revealed in a recent interview that his abs made him a popular presence on set! The actor is moving on to the next phase of his career after recently wrapping work on Breaking Dawn. It's the last film in the Twilight saga, and many of the franchise's young stars are taking on exciting new projects as well. Kristen Stewart will put a new spin on Snow White, while Robert Pattinson's Bel Ami and Ashley Greene's Butter will both hit theaters soon.

Would You Break the Law to Save Your Child's Life?

Are laws meant to be broken when your child's life is at stake?

Are laws meant to be broken when your child's life is at stake? Inhale is a phenomenal film that explores the lengths that law abiding citizens and parents Paul and Diane Stanton (Dermot Mulroney and Diane Kruger) take to try and save their ailing daughter Chloe's (Mia Stallard) life as she waits for a lung transplant. The movie is incredibly difficult to watch at points as it explores illegal organ trafficking, but the flick also poses an intense ethical question. What would you do?

Diane Kruger Stops to Inhale After Sharing on Josh's Style, Scent, and the Possibility of Her Own Line

Diane Kruger cozied up to actor Dermot Mulroney last night at a home in LA where they toasted their new film Inhale. The duo star together in the thriller, in which they find themselves exploring the black market of organ donation in order to save their child's life. Fortunately, Diane spent her afternoon on a slightly more chipper topic when she was the guest of honor at a special lunch for Calvin Klein's Beauty fragrance. Diane, who's the face of the scent's ad campaign, also sported one of the brand's designs on Monday at Elle's Women in Hollywood event, where she shared all about which ladies she'd love to do a movie with. She spoke to Bella, though, about her boyfriend Joshua Jackson's style and smell, also revealing her thoughts on starting her own line. Diane said:

  • On Josh's sense of style: "You know actually I think men, I'm sure it's the same for you, when they are single they don't think they need to make the effort. But once you sort of nudge them a little bit, they take pride in looking good. I actually come back now and he's gone shopping."
  • On the scents she likes on a man: "It's very personal; the few boyfriends have never smelled the same. You know it goes with the personality. So actually many years ago a boyfriend used Eternity and it was amazing on him. I bought it for Josh and it really didn't work on him. Actually it was kind of creepy, it wasn't so good. So I feel like he has to come up with that. I like a musky one for sure."
  • On the advice she'd give her 22-year-old self: "Relax! I was not a relaxed 22-year-old. I was a model, I was living in New York City and I thought everything was important, everything was a major crisis in my life. I would not want to be 21 or 22 again."
  • On doing her own line: "I would do one piece with Karl or someone that I love, but I don't think I would be a good designer. I think I know what works on me, but I am not very good at dressing other people, you know what I mean? In fact I think it's so individual that it's very hard for me to predict what I might be wearing or what would be trending in six months. Like I find that amazing that people can do that."

Stay tuned to Bella for lots more from their lunch with Diane tomorrow!

Inhale Trailer: Diane Kruger and Dermot Mulroney Need a Lung

Movies about organ donation tend to make my skin crawl (I blame recent creep-fest Repo Men).

Movies about organ donation tend to make my skin crawl (I blame recent creep-fest Repo Men). However, the drama Inhale has a redeeming factor in that it's about the lengths parents will go to in order to save their child. Dermot Mulroney and Diane Kruger star as Paul and Diane Stanton, a couple whose daughter suffers from a degenerative disease that will claim her life if she doesn't get a lung transplant. Due to the bureaucracy in the organ donation process, the Stantons find themselves with no alternatives until they hear of the organ black market in Mexico.

Once Paul crosses the border to begin the illegal procedure, the film becomes harrowing, and the tone shifts from emotional to dangerous and violently thrilling. I'm still squeamish about the subject matter and some of the visuals in the trailer, but the pairing of Kruger and Mulroney is a solid one I'd like to see.

It's Love and Marriage For Mandy Moore and Kellan Lutz

First comes love, then comes wedding, then comes marriage in Dermot Mulroney's upcoming directorial debut.

First comes love, then comes wedding, then comes marriage in Dermot Mulroney's upcoming directorial debut. Love, Wedding, Marriage has had some bumps along the road to production, but it finally has a cast, with Kellan Lutz and Mandy Moore starring as the leading married couple. Moore will play a marriage counselor whose world is rocked when her parents' seemingly perfect marriage heads for divorce. She then decides to attempt her very own parent trap, sabotaging her own relationship with Lutz in the process. Jane Seymour and James Brolin will play Moore's parents.

I'll always root for Moore, but her recent rom-com track record isn't exactly stellar: it includes License to Wed and Because I Said So. As for Lutz, it's kind of hard for me to wrap my head around him as something other than an arrogant high school student or vampire, but at least he's branching out.

Movie Preview: Flash of Genius

Honestly, if one were trying to get folks excited about a movie, a good way to fail would be to say it's about the guy who invented the intermittent windshield wiper systems used on cars.

Honestly, if one were trying to get folks excited about a movie, a good way to fail would be to say it's about the guy who invented the intermittent windshield wiper systems used on cars.

But what if we're told the movie stars Greg Kinnear as the inventor and the lovely Lauren Graham plays his wife? Add to that a real-life David vs. Goliath tale in which Goliath is the auto industry stealing the windshield wiper idea from David, and we're getting toward a movie worth talking about.

With the help of Dave Matthews, the trailer for Flash of Genius is already tugging at my heartstrings, and it looks beautifully shot with that nice soft lighting. While this is definitely a plot we've seen before in different incarnations over the years, I'm still curious about it, especially because the cast is so darn appealing (the movie also features Dermot Mulroney and Alan Alda).

The movie opens Oct. 25. To see the trailer, read more
