Some moviegoers might be surprised to hear Grammy-winning rapper Common voicing one of the penguins in Happy Feet Two, but when we sat down to talk with him at a recent press day for the film, he told us the role was right up his alley. Common shared about the surprising challenges of voice acting, his latest album, and his many TV and movie projects ahead. One of those is the upcoming The Odd Life of Timothy Green and he recounted a story about how he ended up freestyling for his costar Jennifer Garner on the set! Check out our interview with Common and catch Happy Feet Two in theaters on Nov. 18.
Pink Brings Baby Willow to the Happy Feet Two Premiere!
Pink brought baby Willow along to the premiere of Happy Feet Two in LA yesterday. Willow was decked out in a tux for the blue carpet event, and her mom Pink and dad Carey Hart also matched in black suits. Pink shared her motherhood secrets before heading into the screening, saying, "As long as my boobs are at home at a certain hour, I can do whatever I want!" Joining the happy family of three were Pink's costars in the animated movie Sofia Vergara, Elijah Wood, and newlywed Robin Williams. Robin, who tied the knot on Oct. 23, posed for photos with new wife Susan Schneider. It was one event in a busy weekend for Sofia, as she tweeted yesterday that she's now on her way to Miami to work with Pepsi.
Jon Hamm and Christina Hendricks Let Loose at the AMC Emmys Bash
AMC's biggest stars got together following last night's Emmys to toast their latest successful year. Mad Men won outstanding drama series for the fourth year in a row, and the show's creator, Matthew Weiner, clutched his Emmy gold as he made his way around the room chatting with Jon Hamm and Elisabeth Moss. Christina Hendricks was able to enjoy a solo moment off in a corner, continuing to sparkle in her Johanna Johansson gown. John Slattery had the company of his wife, Talia Balsam, and pal Sarah Silverman, and Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul joined Jon, Elisabeth, and Christina in celebrating the network. Jon had his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Westfeldt, on his arm for the party, and they wrapped up a long time of toasting and posing together.
Celeb Spotting at CES: Who's Attending?
You can't really beat Lady Gaga's appearance at last year's CES festivities, but the 2011 expo is proving to be quite the hot spot for celeb sightings, especially those who are endorsing products.
Our favorite honorary geek, Lady Gaga herself, will be on hand to debut her Polaroid "Grey Label,", the project which was announced at last year's CES. Alongside Gaga, 50 Cent will be on hand to introduce his new Sleek Audio headphones, while classic soul and funk legends Earth, Wind and Fire will be taking the stage at the Monster Awards party at the Paris hotel. (Don't make that face — they're one of my favorites.)
Who else will be gracing the CES expo hall and surrounding hotels? Find out after the break.
John Mayer and Lauren Conrad Team Up to Save the Music
John Mayer and Lauren Conrad teamed up in NYC last night for Save The Music's annual gala. The organization, which is dedicated to restoring and preserving arts education in public schools, has long been a philanthropic cause close to John's heart. He, along with John Legend and Julie Andrews, was honored for continually supporting their work. Lauren Conrad, meanwhile, made a cameo to introduce Natasha Bedingfield, who sang the theme song from The Hills. LC managed to escape to the East Coast for the evening during a break from her acting and reality star duties. Good Charlotte's Joel and Benji Madden were together to pose for photos near Twilight's Billy Burke, though his fictional daughter, Kristen Stewart, was off getting down to business with Robert Pattinson in Brazil.

Serena Williams and Common's Sexy Bikini Reunion!
Serena Williams lounged on the beach in Miami with her possibly on-again boyfriend, Common, yesterday. The couple ended their two-year relationship earlier this Summer, and while Serena talked to Oprah about her depressing love life just last week, apparently things are looking up for the tennis star. She stripped down to her bikini for the fun beach day and relaxed with a cool drink, while Common kept on his shirt and sported his signature facial hair. Russell Simmons stopped by their spot in the sand to chat, and the group shared a laugh during the beautiful sunny day.
Kanye Takes a Break From His "Runaway" to Rock With Jay-Z
Kanye West traded in his red suit for a formal tuxedo at the GQ, Rocawear, and Hennessy Black party at the Gansevoort hotel in NYC last night. Jay-Z toasted the crowd and his sister-in-law, Solange Knowles, who was busy spinning tracks behind the DJ booth, while Kanye hung with his rumored muse, Selita Ebanks. Earlier in the evening, Kanye screened the 40-minute video for his new single, "Runaway," which he debuted at the VMAs last weekend. On Monday, he also joined Jay-Z and Eminem on stage during their first sold-out Yankee Stadium show. Entourage star Adrian Grenier made a quick appearance and snapped a few of his own photos at this bash and HBO's Boardwalk Empire event. Jay-Z partied without Beyonce, who had a huge week with a surprise catwalk moment and duets with her husband.

Harley Gives Us an Inside Peek at His Celebrity Clients
Harley Pasternak is a busy guy. In about the span of a week, he left his training duties on the Lady Gaga tour in Europe, headed home to LA to see 10 clients, and then crossed the Pacific to Hawaii for two more. When I finally caught up with him in Tampa, he was already planning his departure to Toronto, his childhood home.
Harley — whose client list reads like a who’s who of Hollywood — never expected that he’d become THE go-to trainer for the stars. "I was studying to be in medicine," says Harley. "Personal training was something I did; it was a side business that grew and grew and next thing you knew I had three studios and 12 trainers and I was like, 'OK, I guess this is my career.'"
He describes his work as "the coolest thing in the world," and it’s easy to understand why. Not many people can say they shoot hoops with Kanye West and Common or hang backstage with Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, and Lady Gaga. Working with musicians seems to be his current thing right now, "They’re very creative people, they have more control over their own destiny to the extent that they tend to be a little more stable," says Harley. "I enjoy working with actors too but actors are more project-to-project where musicians have an ongoing thing."
Harley pulled back the curtain a little bit and shared with me what it was like to work with these amazing artists. To see what he had to say about each one of them, read more
Movie Preview: Queen Latifah and Common in Just Wright
Queen Latifah may not be the most critically-acclaimed actress, but there's no denying that the woman's likable. In her upcoming film Just Wright, she plays a physical therapist named Leslie Wright who treats an NBA star (Common) to bring him back to peak condition. Her closest friend Morgan (Paula Patton) takes a liking to him and they begin dating until Morgan realizes his career (and baller status) is in jeopardy and bails. Leslie is there to pick up the pieces, but as she gets closer, things take a romantic turn.

I know it seems like I just gave the whole movie away, but trust me, it's all in the trailer. It's a formula really: Latifah is the tough (but sensitive!) career woman who can't find the right man; her inspirational song "Champion" playing in the background. That doesn't mean it won't rope me in though, at least as a rental later on. Take a peek, and tell me your take when you read more
