Zac Efron threw on a striped robe to shoot scenes for Townies in LA yesterday. Zac was on set Monday as well despite undergoing surgery for a hand injury he sustained while filming a fighting scene with costar Dave Franco. He's back on the West Coast for work following a stint in NYC, where he promoted his other project At Any Price. Zac made the morning-show rounds last Thursday before premiering At Any Price with costars Heather Graham and Dennis Quaid at the Tribeca Film Festival. On the carpet, Zac talked about his hand injury, saying, "They put, like, a titanium plate in it and four screws." Make sure to check out our review of At Any Price for a sneak peek before it hits theaters this Friday.
The Red Band Trailer For Kick-Ass 2 Welcomes Jim Carrey to the Team
Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) may be down for the count, but Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Hit-Girl (Chloë Moretz) are not on their own in the red band trailer for Kick-Ass 2. The trailer for the sequel to 2010's Kick-Ass reveals the superhero duo is hitting the streets again to fight crime in New York City. This time, they have to fight the original movie's Chris D'Amico (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), who's been reborn as baddie The Mother F%&*^r. Good thing they have fellow caped crusader Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey) and his loyal canine companion by their side.

I'm so excited for this movie — Hit-Girl is one of my favorite superhero characters of all time, and now that she's on her way into adolescence, I think her skills (and foul mouth) are only going to get more awesome. I also find that Carrey is at his best playing flamboyant characters like this, and I can't wait to see what he adds to the team. Kick-Ass 2 opens Aug. 16, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.
Fright Night's Christopher Mintz-Plasse Reveals Why He'd Never Challenge Robert Pattinson to a Vampire Fight
Christopher Mintz-Plasse might be one of the nicest guys in Hollywood, but the actor is on a streak playing bad guys lately, the latest of which is the vampire Evil Ed in Fright Night. Christopher chatted with us at a junket for the movie in Beverly Hills recently, where he filled us in on the painful hair and makeup his transformation from human to bloodsucker required. He also told us why he thinks Edward Cullen could easily take on Evil Ed! Check out our interview and catch Fright Night in theaters beginning August 19.
Fright Night Trailer: Colin Farrell Takes a Bite Out of Teens
Colin Farrell showed up paunchy and bald in the recent Horrible Bosses trailer, but in the preview for Fright Night he's looking a whole lot better . . . even though he may be dead. In the remake of the '80s horror flick, Farrell plays a vampire named Jerry (Jerry? Not the sexiest bloodsucker name, but OK) who moves in next door to Charley (Anton Yelchin), a high school student who's too busy thinking about his girlfriend to notice that some of his classmates are disappearing.
He's forced to take notice by his friend Ed (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), and pretty soon Jerry has his teeth pointed at Charley, his girlfriend, and Charley's mom (Toni Collette). Charley then suits up as a vampire slayer to go head-to-head against Jerry and protect everyone from the new vampire in town. Fright Night is just the latest movie to capitalize on the sizzling hotness of vampires, but this actually looks like clever and cool — if anything, the Jerry/Charley showdown will be a fun fight to the finish. The Top 5 Juiciest Things I Learned From the Kick-Ass Cast
Now that the world has seen controversial comic-based movie Kick-Ass, I thought I'd revisit some of the more interesting things that the cast told me when we chatted at Wondercon. Here are the five best tidbits from my interviews with Chloe Moretz, Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Clark Duke!

5) Chloe Moretz got into the action: "I did all my own stunts, except for running up the wall and crazy stuff like that."
4) If he were offered another action film, Christopher Mintz-Plasse would like to portray a girls' toy: "Is Bratz considered an action movie? I'd want to be one of the Bratz girls."

Watch, Pass, or Rent: Kick-Ass & The Joneses
BuzzSugar believes Kick-Ass lives up to its name but thinks Demi Moore and David Duchovny in The Joneses aren't worth running to the theater for.
PSR 4/16/10: Christina on Max & Music, Taylor & Katy Duet, & Ricky Joins Singers Stripping Down
Christina Aguilera says motherhood makes her feel sexy, Katy Perry makes a surprise appearance at Taylor Swift's concert for a duet, and Ricky Martin joins Britney Spears and Alanis Morissette as musicians who strip down in videos. Kick-Ass: Ultra Violent, Ultra Fun
By now you may have heard that Kick-Ass isn't your average comic book-based movie. Instead of your friendly neighborhood heroes who only want to help the innocent, you have a cast of superpower-free renegades who shouldn't be anyone's hero — yet each and every player in Kick-Ass manages to win you over, one filthy word at a time.
Relative unknown Aaron Johnson stars as nerdy, awkward Dave Lizewski (AKA Kick-Ass), a guy who wonders why no regular person has ever tried to be a superhero. Determined to be the first, he puts on a cheap scuba suit and tries his hand at combating crime. Soon, he finds out that he's not the only masked avenger in town when the true badasses — Hit Girl and Big Daddy — come out to play. Played by Nicolas Cage and Chloe Moretz, the father-and-daughter pair are the real fighters who are after crime boss Frank D'Amico.

Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Clark Duke Talk Kick-Ass, Costumes, and Superheroes
The geeky good time of Wondercon allowed me the opportunity to talk to stars of upcoming movies that I'm super excited about, including irreverent comic-turned-film Kick-Ass. I showed you my interviews with stars Aaron Johnson and Chloe Moretz, but now it's time for McLovin' himself and Greek's Dale: Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Clark Duke!
Watch Mintz-Plasse joke about which other superhero he'd portray (it's really not what you think) and playing Red Mist:
