Naomi Watts spent the weekend in character as Princess Diana as she worked on her upcoming movie, Caught in Flight, in Croatia. On Saturday, the actress was decked out in a black cocktail dress and jewels to film a scene, and yesterday, she sported a more casual look as she shot on a boat in the waters of Rovinj. On her breaks, Naomi warmed up in a white bathrobe.

We caught a first look at Naomi as Princess Diana on location in London earlier this week. The actress headed to England shortly after the Cannes Film Festival in May to start focusing on her role as the late royal. She took advantage of her stay there to attend Elton John and David Furnish's recent White Tie & Tiara Ball and was decked out in Chopard jewels and a Marchesa dress for the occasion.

Naomi's playing the role of Princess Diana and when decked out in full hair and makeup bears a striking resemblance to the late royal. The film portrays the last two years of Diana's life prior to her untimely death.

Naomi's been spotted in the UK in recent weeks following her brief stay in Cannes during the French film festival. Her time in Europe hasn't been all business: in fact, she was one of the many famous faces on hand last week at Elton John's White Tie & Tiara Ball. Naomi wore a beautiful white and gold Marchesa gown to the bash and partied late into the night at the Chopard-sponsored soiree.
