Nikki Reed smoothed back her locks and picked a sophisticated cream and white polka-dot dress for a luncheon today held at the Beverly Hilton hotel in LA. Twilight's director Catherine Hardwicke and Nikki were there to celebrate the Step Up Women's Network 8th annual Inspiration Awards. Nikki was without the company of her fiancé, Paul McDonald, but she was sure to show off her sparkly new engagement ring. Nikki and Paul announced their engagement at the MTV Movie Awards last weekend, and she joined the cast of Breaking Dawn during the show to premiere the film's first full-length trailer. She and Paul seem to be already settling into their life together with regular trips to the gym, casual strolls with her dog, and Nikki's already looking for a bigger home for them to share. Paul's also been busy prepping to hit the road with America Idol's top contestants when their concert series kicks off July 6 from Utah.
London Rolls Out the Red Carpet For Amanda Seyfried and Her Dark Fairy Tale
Amanda Seyfried slipped into a sexy LBD for today's London screening of Red Riding Hood. She's been in Europe since Sunday, when she touched down in Paris with her boyfriend, Ryan Phillippe, and his The Lincoln Lawyer costar Matthew McConaughey. The trio left the airport together, but it was just Amanda and Ryan who were caught taking a romantic stroll under the Eiffel Tower on Monday. Matthew and Ryan relocated to Berlin yesterday while she traveled south to catch up with her hot costars Max Irons and Shiloh Fernandez in France.
Red Riding Hood: Eat It Up
Why is supernatural romance all the rage these days? When you see a movie like Red Riding Hood, a mature take on the classic fairy tale, you understand why. Director Catherine Hardwicke re-imagines the story, jumping off the basic points (young girl in a red cape, bloodthirsty wolf, grandmother in peril) and manipulates it into a sexy mystery that's equally appealing for both the beautiful cast and whodunit plot. Amanda Seyfried stars as the title character, Valerie, with a juicy dilemma: she's in love with poor woodcutter Peter (Shiloh Fernandez) but her hand has been promised to well-off tinsmith Henry (Max Irons).

Romantic entanglements prove to be the least of Valerie's worries, though. A big bad wolf has tormented her village for ages, but when it claims a young victim, the townspeople panic. A famous priest (the incomparable Gary Oldman) visits to help them, bringing a new piece of information — the villagers are actually being hunted by a werewolf. The witch hunt that follows is distressing for everyone, but it's worse for Valerie as she wonders if her smokin' hot lover Peter could be the wolf everyone fears. Hardwicke manages to draw out the satisfying puzzle while seducing the audience, making Red Riding Hood a deliciously guilty pleasure.

Director Catherine Hardwicke Talks Red Riding Hood, the Twilight Casting Connection, and More!
Catherine Hardwicke helms this weekend's new release Red Riding Hood, and we had a few minutes to talk to the director (perhaps best known for directing Twilight) about the new film and her talented cast. Hardwicke dished on star Amanda Seyfried (hear the actress's kind words for Hardwicke and the film) and why she cast leading men Shiloh Fernandez and Max Irons. Speaking of, find out which of Red Riding Hood's actors was almost cast in Twilight!
Video: Catherine Hardwicke Says Kristen Stewart Will Make a Kick-Ass Snow White
Director Catherine Hardwicke and actress Amanda Seyfried stepped out last night at the LA premiere of Red Riding Hood. Catherine gushed about her leading lady's sex appeal, but she also had plenty to say about her former Twilight star Kristen Stewart. Find out why Catherine thinks Kristen is the perfect pick to play another fairy-tale female: Snow White!
Amanda Seyfried and Catherine Hardwicke Talk Fairy Tales and Twilight at the Red Riding Hood Premiere
Amanda Seyfried chose purple Lanvin for the premiere of her dark new film Red Riding Hood at Mann's Chinese Theater last night in LA. The debut also drew Breaking Dawn's Nikki Reed and American Idol's final 13. Elle cover girl Amanda wasn't with her real-life love, Ryan Phillippe, on the red carpet. Instead, she posed with her two sexy leading men, Shiloh Fernandez and former model Max Irons. The spin on the classic fairy tale was helmed by Twilight's Catherine Hardwicke, who years ago chose Shiloh as a finalist for the part of Edward Cullen. The actor said it took three auditions before Catherine finally cast him in one of her movies, but that it was worth the wait. Catherine, meanwhile, told us Amanda was the perfect pick for the part of Red. The director also talked about her former leading lady, Kristen Stewart, who is starring in another adaptation of a Brothers Grimm tale — Snow White. She revealed that Kristen will kick ass in the role, which makes the heroine less of a damsel in distress than past versions. Check out today's PopSugar Rush for even more from our interviews with Catherine and the cast!
Red Riding Hood Trailer: Amanda Seyfried Is the Lady in Red
Who's afraid of the big bad wolf? Not Amanda Seyfried, who plays Valerie in Red Riding Hood — which makes her the Little Red Riding Hood of storybook lore. Yes, this update turns the child caring for her grandmother into a lusty PYT, and Shiloh Fernandez plays her illicit love interest. But is her woodcutter more than human? The trailer implies that he could be the werewolf Valerie's fellow villagers (led by Gary Oldman) are hunting for.

Leonardo DiCaprio produced the film with Catherine Hardwicke in the director's chair. She's a woman who knows her way around gothic monster stories thanks to Twilight (and she's particularly talented at casting relatively unknown but extremely attractive leading men — we can add Fernandez to the hot werewolf tally already). The atmosphere of Red Riding Hood feels darker and sexier than Hardwicke's vampire venture, but between Teen Wolf, The Vampire Diaries, and Twilight, are people getting overloaded with werewolf pop culture? Ponder that as you watch the trailer when you read more

Maggie and Anne Celebrate With Inglourious Friends in LA
Quentin Tarantino brought his friends together at LA's La Vida restaurant last night to celebrate Inglourious Basterds's eight Academy Awards nominations. He chatted with other famous faces up for Oscars like Maggie Gyllenhaal, who stuck close to husband Peter Sarsgaard. Eli Roth chatted with Neve Campbell, Selma Blair, and Heather Graham, while Ryan Gosling made the rounds still looking hot after his recent trip in Sundance. Anne Hathaway brought along her constant companion Adam Shulman, as she took a break from promoting Valentine's Day.
Anne's on the cover of next month's InStyle to chat about her star-studded movie, though she took a minute to reflect on herself and her looks. She said, "I think I’ve got really weird features. I have very large features on a very small head. But, you know, I’m not going to beat myself up . . . I look like myself, and I think at the end of the day, as nice as pretty is, authenticity is more important." Her looks seem to be doing just fine as far as Hollywood is concerned, especially after all her recognition in 2009 for Rachel Getting Married. Anne's not nominated this year, but make sure to fill out Buzz's Oscar ballot for a chance to win an amazing prize pack!
