Get a Preview of The CW's New Series The Secret Circle

If The Vampire Diaries doesn't bring enough supernatural drama to your Thursdays, then you'll be happy to know that the CW's new series The Secret Circle will pick up the slack this Fall when it premieres in the time slot after Diaries.

If The Vampire Diaries doesn't bring enough supernatural drama to your Thursdays, then you'll be happy to know that the CW's new series The Secret Circle will pick up the slack this Fall when it premieres in the time slot after Diaries. Like that show, the series is also based on L.J. Smith's novels, but instead of vampires, the stars are witches.

Britt Robertson plays Cassie, a teen that moves to a new town when her mother dies, and discovers that her ancestors were witches . . . and now so is she. Soon she's initiated into a coven of teens with similar powers, and Cassie learns more about her destiny and evil elements that haunt the town. I loved Robertson as Lux on Life Unexpected, and if she can channel that angst into her new witchy role, then I'm hooked. Take a look at the preview clips, when you read more

Get a Preview of Sarah Michelle Gellar's New Series Ringer

The CW's new Fall schedule made room for a new series, Ringer, which I'm super excited about because of its star: Sarah Michelle Gellar.

The CW's new Fall schedule made room for a new series, Ringer, which I'm super excited about because of its star: Sarah Michelle Gellar. Maybe she's not a teenage vampire slayer anymore, but her new show sounds plenty compelling. Gellar has a dual role as twin sisters: recovering alcoholic Bridget and wealthy, married Siobhan. When Bridget witnesses a murder, she takes on Siobhan's identity and the glamorous life in New York City that goes with it, because Siobhan has mysteriously (and conveniently) disappeared.

Unfortunately, Siobhan has problems of her own that Bridget now has to deal with. Gellar is joined by a couple of my TV favorites — Nestor Carbonell (Richard from Lost) and Kristoffer Polaha (of Life Unexpected). The series debuts this Fall, but watch a few clips when you read more

Like the other networks, CW has also revealed its new Fall schedule for the upcoming season.

Like the other networks, CW has also revealed its new Fall schedule for the upcoming season. As expected, the canceled Hellcats isn't there, but the CW's other new shows are, like Sarah Michelle Gellar's Ringer and Hart of Dixie with Rachel Bilson. As for returning series, there are also some tweaks; most notably, Gossip Girl will return to its old timeslot, 90210 will move to Tuesdays, and One Tree Hill is being pushed to midseason. There are a couple other changes, so to get the full schedule, just read more

The CW Renews One Tree Hill, Axes Hellcats, and Picks Up 4 Pilots

I've got a lot of good news (and a little bad news) for fans of The CW: the network has renewed fan favorite One Tree Hill and freshman series Nikita — but Hellcats didn't make the cut.

I've got a lot of good news (and a little bad news) for fans of The CW: the network has renewed fan favorite One Tree Hill and freshman series Nikita — but Hellcats didn't make the cut. The network will present its full Fall lineup later this week, but I've already got the details on the new pilots, which include the return of small-screen stars like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Rachel Bilson.

  • The Secret Circle: From Vampire Diaries creator Kevin Williamson, this supernatural series revolves around a girl (Life Unexpected's Britt Robertson) who discovers she's a witch when she moves to a new town. The series is based on a trilogy by L.J. Smith, who also wrote The Vampire Diaries books.
  • Hart of Dixie: The O.C. alum Rachel Bilson returns to TV as a doctor/native New Yorker who heads to the South when she inherits a new practice.
  • Ringer: Sarah Michelle Gellar pulls double duty as a woman on the run who takes on the identity of her twin sister — but, as it turns out, her twin has problems of her own.
  • H8ER: A reality show hosted by Mario Lopez that pits celebrities against their biggest haters. The pilot features Snooki and Kim Kardashian.
