This week I'm celebrating what, if I may be so bold, I believe to be the greatest Nicholas Sparks adaptation of all time: The Notebook. Allie (Rachel McAdams) and Noah (Ryan Gosling) are star-crossed lovers, repeatedly torn apart by societal differences. It's a tragic story of prevailing love — and Ryan Gosling's ability to build an entire house single-handedly. I'm sharing my favorite quotes below, but what are yours?

It's a shame that Orange Country slid under the radar when it came out in 2002, because it's so brilliant and funny. Colin Hanks stars as a high school senior desperate to get into Standford and away from his insane family, including Catherine O'Hara and tighty-whitie-wearing Jack Black. The random dance sequence timed to Crazy Town's "Butterfly" is priceless, and these quotes are almost as great.

Speed may be cheesy and dated (it was 1994, after all), but I couldn't love it more. The movie that solidified Keanu Reeves's action career also features Sandra Bullock as a stressed-out Los Angeles citizen tasked with driving a bus above 50 miles per hour to keep it from exploding. Before there was Mean Girls, there was Heathers. The 1980s cult classic features a high school terrorized by popular kids so horrifically bad that their demise was plotted by Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. When (500) Days of Summer was released in 2009, the world combusted from the cuteness overload of Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel as a couple. The bittersweet movie handles romance and breakups with honesty and humor, and gave us lots of quotable lines. This week, we're sharing some of our favorites from the film. What are yours?

Never Been Kissed, the 1999 classic, introduced one of my all-time favorite high school movie characters, Josie Gellar. Drew Barrymore plays 25-year-old journalist Josie, who returns to high school to pose as a student for an article. Christopher Guest is the mastermind behind some of the funniest films ever, and 2000's Best in Show is hands down one of my favorites. Jane Lynch, Jennifer Coolidge, Catherine O'Hara, Parker Posey, and Eugene Levy are just a few of the hilarious actors in the mockumentary about a competitive dog show. It's been nearly two decades since Reality Bites came out, yet the movie about college graduates grappling with the challenges of real life remains as relevant as ever. It is, after all, the movie that got us all hooked on Ethan Hawke. I put together some of my favorite lines from the film, but which quotes are you still citing?

Why should boys have all the fun? In 2002, Cameron Diaz and Christina Applegate proved that girls can do raunchy comedy too when they starred in The Sweetest Thing. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World flew a little under the radar when it was released in 2010, but for my money, it remains one of the most original and entertaining flicks. Michael Cera plays the melancholy Scott, and the film is peppered with some of my favorite faces: Kieran Culkin, Aubrey Plaza, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jason Schwartzman, Chris Evans, and Mae Whitman.
