Heading to Bonnaroo, the four-day music festival in Manchester, TN, is a big — and majorly fun — Summer commitment. Not only will you pack in a dozen or more hours of music each day, but you'll also have to set up a comfortable and welcoming campsite for yourself as well. I know what I'm talking about, friends — I've been to Bonnaroo before, and while I loved the experience, there were a lot of things I wish I could've known about our camping situation before I arrived. Besides the decor and travel-related items I'm going to recommend here, I'd also recommend bringing a ton of sunblock, a parasol, earplugs (for sleeping), and a camera with video capability for documenting the fun. Learn from my mistakes, and see what I would've added to my Bonnaroo glamping area if I'd only known better!

Fab Stylist of the Week Is . . . BarbieSugar
Your latest stylist challenge took you on a Bonnaroo adventure. I hope it was a fun ride! All the ensembles rocked, but one stylist's ensemble rocked hardest. BarbieSugar's Bonnaroo outfit took the lead because it was not only just right for a concert, but it also had mega pizzazz. The denim romper is not something you see every day, and then to pair it with a cropped lace tube is super sexy. Bold yellow shades and a Havana fedora are the coolest ways to get protection from the rays. Congrats! Stay tuned for next week's challenge.

2009 Bonnaroo: A Playlist

If you're one of the many music fiends heading to (or already in) Manchester, TN, this weekend for Bonnaroo, I'm envious of you. Then again, you're probably not reading this right now, since there are, you know, just a few awesome bands to see. For those of us not quite lucky enough to make it to Bonnaroo, I've made up a playlist of songs by some of the acts featured at the festival. Of course, it's not an exhaustive collection (that list of songs would last for days), just some of my faves by artists like Springsteen, Neko Case, Al Green, Beastie Boys, Erykah Badu, and Wilco.

Buzz In: What's Your Biggest Concert Pet Peeve?
After Kanye West took to his computer keyboard to blame the organizers of the Bonnaroo Music Festival for his extremely tardy appearance (4:25 a.m. — dang!), I got to thinking about other bad concert situations. While the folks who paid good money to see Kanye at that festival clearly were not thrilled with the major delays, diva behavior isn't the only situation that can irritate a concert-goer.
For example, I went to a festival once where the organizers refused to publish a schedule so there was no way to plan the weekend around the acts I most wanted to see. Another peeve: when really tall people have zero perception of their tendency to block the stage from vertically challenged folks (like me!). I'm also often sad when a band won't perform an encore even when the crowd cheers and chants for what seems like an eternity.
Now it's your turn to rant. What are some of your biggest pet peeves at concerts?
