Plunge Into Boardwalk Empire's Prohibition-Era Decor

'Tis the season for holiday party hopping, which usually involves costume-worthy outfits and a fair amount of hooch.

'Tis the season for holiday party hopping, which usually involves costume-worthy outfits and a fair amount of hooch. With all of the festivities, we can't help but reminisce about one of our favorite television shows that celebrates both. While episodes of the recently-wrapped Boardwalk Empire series are usually centered around themes of violent vengeance or tarnished romance, they also draw attention to the era's elegant style.

As invested as we are in the Emmy-nominated show's story line, we can't help but keep our wandering eyes from admiring the impeccable period pieces that fill each scene. While most of us might not want to mimic the Prohibition-era decor completely, we've honed in on key pieces from the series' set that could easily be adapted for the modern home.

Newlyweds Stanley and Felicity Party With Vincent and Ashlee

Newlyweds Stanley Tucci and Felicity Blunt were all smiles at last night's NYC season three premiere of HBO's Boardwalk Empire.

Newlyweds Stanley Tucci and Felicity Blunt were all smiles at last night's NYC season three premiere of HBO's Boardwalk Empire. Stanley and Felicity secretly wed earlier this year, though they have plans for a larger ceremony in the future. Stanley's got a busy Fall ahead, with his Robert Redford-directed drama, The Company You Keep, premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival tonight and production on Catching Fire, the sequel to The Hunger Games, beginning in Atlanta.

Ashlee Simpson wore a short white frock to accompany her boyfriend and Boardwalk Empire star, Vincent Piazza. The pair cuddled close to snap photos, then headed inside the screening to mingle with Vincent's castmates Kelly Macdonald, Jack Huston, and Steve Buscemi. The show returns with new episodes Sept. 16, and the group will reunite shortly afterward on Sept. 23 at the Primetime Emmy Awards. They're up for six nominations, including outstanding drama series and outstanding lead actor for Steve Buscemi, who took home last year's award. Be sure to fill out your Emmy ballot for a chance to win $2,000.

Boardwalk Empire: Watch a Trailer For Season Three

Can't wait until the Sept.

Can't wait until the Sept. 16 season three premiere to see what's in store for Nucky and company on Boardwalk Empire? Well you're gonna have to. The trailer for the new season was just released and it's pretty vague. It has Nucky (Steve Buscemi) standing in the rain, facing off with an anonymous, fedora-ed man. He shoots, the man falls, and with him go Nucky's pocket carnation and his wedding ring. He looks ominous and the words "You can't be half a gangster" flash on the screen.

It looks like all bets are off the table for the upcoming season. I expect nothing less from HBO's critical hit — in case you missed it, Boardwalk Empire earned 12 Emmy nominations this year, including a nod for Buscemi. Check out the trailer for yourself after the jump.

HBO gathered the stars of Boardwalk Empire last night at NYC's Zeigfeld Theater to celebrate the show's second season, which debuts on the network Sept. 25. Leading man Steve Buscemi had the company of his wife, Jo Andres, while Michael Pitt had his model girlfriend, Jamie Bochert, and Vincent Piazza made his red carpet debut with Ashlee Simpson. Ashlee and Vincent also showed PDA recently at a fashion week bash, when they went out to celebrate Christina Ricci's Nylon cover. Other stars from the series like Kelly Macdonald, Jack Huston, and Gretchen Mol mingled with producers Mark Wahlberg and Martin Scorsese. The gang moved their festivities over to the Waldorf Astoria for the afterparty, where Jack met up with his aunt, Anjelica Huston, and Kelly gave her pal Emily Mortimer a big hug. The premiere of Boardwalk Empire is much anticipated, especially after the series just won seven creative Emmys last weekend.

Watch the Boardwalk Empire Season Two Trailer

Hot on the heels of the return of True Blood, HBO has just released a trailer for another of its hot dramas: Boardwalk Empire.

Hot on the heels of the return of True Blood, HBO has just released a trailer for another of its hot dramas: Boardwalk Empire. The Golden Globe winner for best drama looks intense for its next go-round, and as Jimmy Darmody intones, things are changing. For one, there appears to be more tension between Jimmy and Nucky, and it looks like we're going to see them squaring off this season. Another change looks like a heavy presence from the KKK, sure to be just another source of the violence we've come to expect on this series.

The Steve Buscemi-led show comes back in September, but check out the trailer when you read more
