The 2013 Met Gala best-dressed set could easily be likened to the fashion Olympics, and this year's Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibition turnout made it harder than ever to pick only five gold-medal contenders. Beyoncé Knowles spared no head-turning detail in a custom Givenchy Haute Couture flame-embroidered gown; Gwyneth Paltrow stood out in a covered-up hot pink Valentino number; Rooney Mara played the edgy card in a custom Givenchy Haute Couture gown, complete with floral embroidery, zippers, ruffles, and a split-front opening; Jennifer Lawrence chose ladylike Dior (and that Jennifer Behr netted veil!); and Katie Holmes stunned in a downright ethereal custom Calvin Klein creation.
