Between Two Ferns

Earlier this week, we saw Zach Galifianakis interview Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway, and more for part one of his Oscars edition of Between Two Ferns. In part two, he sits down with another crop of nominees, including Jessica Chastain, Sally Field, and his costar from The Hangover Bradley Cooper. The animosity hits an all-time high when Zach offers Bradley a potential acceptance speech for his big night — and let's just say it's not exactly what Bradley had in mind.

This year's Oscar nominees have been through a lot of intense interviews over the last few months, but leave it to Zach Galifianakis to lighten the mood. Nominees Jennifer Lawrence, Naomi Watts, Christoph Waltz, Anne Hathaway, and Amy Adams all got caught Between Two Ferns for a very special Oscar edition of the web series. Lawrence holds her own, Hathaway appears to have imbibed a little too much, and we learn Christoph Waltz may have a slightly controversial tattoo. Watch!

Usually it's Zach Galifianakis bringing the weird on his skit series Between Two Ferns, but his latest guest took matters into his own hands. When Will Ferrell stopped by the show, he managed to be even more awkward than Galifianakis — and surprisingly, Galifianakis has waived most of his usual shtick in favor of more polite behavior. The guys get along (perhaps a little too much), but of course it doesn't last, and Ferrell loses his temper. Check it out and be sure to keep an eye out for a pretty dreamy celebrity cameo.

Zach Galifianakis sat down for another installment of his chat show Between Two Ferns, and though he starts with one guest (Tila Tequila), he ends up with another guest who is, I must say, far more famous: Jennifer Aniston! The actress takes her spot next to Galifianakis to gamely talk about Just Go With It and their Greek backgrounds, but as is the comedian's way, Galifianakis makes her feel so uncomfortable that she has to leave — but not before she has a few choice words for the host. Bruce Willis has a new movie coming out this week, and a sit-down with Zach Galifiankis was part of his promotional tour. On the latest edition of Between Two Ferns, Zach tries out a few of his usual back-handed insults on the movie star/harmonicist ("Do you get Ashton's tweets?" "Did you know that some actors turn down roles?"). Unlike some of the other actors to grace the show, Bruce mostly stays stone-faced and silent . . . until he starts reminiscing about his glory days in the '80s.

You can see Steve Carell and Zach Galifianakis at odds this week in Dinner For Schmucks, but as a preview, the two men sat down for Galifianakis's interview show Between Two Ferns, and Carell comes prepared with a number of defensive jabs. When Carell goes too far with the weight jokes, Galifianakis cries a little: "It's tough in Hollywood!"

Actually, it can't be that tough: Galifianakis has just gotten attached to star in Reply All, a comedy in which he'll play a man who deals with the after effects of accidentally hitting "reply all" on a sketchy email (ugh, we've all been there). So don't feel too bad for Galifianakis in the following clip when he starts to shed tears — he's got more than his hilarious web show to fall back on.

Zach Galifianakis's Between Two Ferns skits have been around for a while now, but somehow I never tire of his supremely awkward celebrity interviews. In the latest installment, Galifianakis chats with Ben Stiller about his upcoming indie movie Greenberg — though Zach's more interested in asking Stiller to do his best Blue Steel from the movie Jewlander.

The fun doesn't end there, as Zach bumbles his way through questions about Greenberg, eventually prompting Stiller to give up (as is the norm on Between Two Ferns). I have to say that Stiller's deadpan may even be more funny than Galifianakis's quips — check out the hilarity when you read more
