We're not the only ones who think Betty White's new book, If You Ask Me (And of Course You Won't), is a must read for May. Robert Pattinson endorsed the memoir with a blurb on its back cover, calling Betty "one of the sexiest women in America." Today on Good Morning America, the 89-year-old sex symbol talked about her ongoing career and how she managed to write her book — by hand! Watch it now.
Betty White Gets a Hidden-Camera Show on NBC

2010 may have been the year of Betty White, but America's favorite octogenarian is still going strong in 2011. She's already starring on the TV Land comedy Hot in Cleveland, but she'll be doubling her small-screen efforts with a hidden-camera comedy on NBC called Betty White's Off Their Rockers. White will host and produce the show, which follows a group of senior citizens who pull pranks on young folks. Personally I'm a little tired of the whole candid camera bit, but I'm sure there are plenty of White fans who will disagree with me. Are you excited for more of Betty's humor?
Betty White Gets Cheeky at the 2011 SAG Awards

Coleen Campbell Olwell, who did Betty's makeup for the big event, gave Betty an extra glow by swirling Lorac blush in Flaunt to the apples of her cheeks. A touch of Philosophy Divine Illumination on the cheekbones added the perfect amount of shimmer. As for Betty's sharp wit, that takes a bit of practice.
Natalie, Colin, and The King's Speech Triumph at the SAG Awards
The 17th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards brought together stars of big screen and small at the Shrine Auditorium in LA last night. The winners mirrored the award season trends in all the acting categories, with Natalie Portman, Melissa Leo, Colin Firth, and Christian Bale taking home actors — check out the whole list. Natalie thanked her parents for making sure she didn't become an "ass****" and sent love to her fiancé Benjamin Millepied, who didn't accompany her this time. As for TV, Boardwalk Empire continued to dominate and the crew from Modern Family was recognized in the comedy category. The King's Speech was honored with best ensemble cast, which they accepted with humble thanks. Buzz was reporting from the press room, so check out all the highlights. Hailee Steinfeld hugged her True Grit costar Jeff Bridges, and the two had a lot to celebrate since they each earned Oscar nominations last week! Justin Timberlake hung out with his The Social Network guys Andrew Garfield and Jesse Eisenberg, though their movie didn't score any statues. Jesse was coming straight from hosting SNL, where he finally met Mark Zuckerberg and earned lots of praise from his friends. How Long Must Women Wait For Their NSFW Photos to Be Adorable?
Have you had your nude pictures taken yet? I for one am creating a short list of photographers whose results I'll put in a time capsule marked "Do not open until Christmas 2060." The pin-up photos of Betty White that surfaced have been called "adorable," and I don't really disagree! Maybe it's because they're from a more innocent time, when nude photos were less raunchy, or maybe Betty White just has that effect on people. I'd say it's a bit of both, but it also has to do with age.
Once a woman reaches a certain age, and I'm thinking 80, it becomes completely adorable that she was once hot. Have you ever seen a picture of your grandmother in her prime (maybe wearing more clothes?) and found it amazing that the loving woman you know as "Grandma" or "Nana" was once sexy? I suppose it's just the juxtaposition between sweet, old woman and young, sexpot that induces those "awww"s. But now I can't tell — is it adorable or just another insult to older women?
Video: Betty White's Vodka-Swilling 89th Birthday Celebration!
Betty White turned 89 on Monday, and she celebrated with two fun adventures in NYC last night. She sipped on "vodka" during her interview with David Letterman before hitting the red carpet for her bash, where she was honored by a video serenade from Justin Bieber!

Who Was a Bigger 2010 Entertainer: Betty White or Taylor Swift?
Taylor Swift was crowned Entertainer of the Year a few weeks ago, but Entertainment Weekly isn't the only publication giving out titles. The AP just made its own decision, and The Associated Press has gone with someone just a smidge older — Betty White!

The former Golden Girl (whose huge year we've already paid homage to) just narrowly beat out the cast of Glee for the honor. White remained humble in her response to the accolade, saying, "It's ridiculous. They haven't caught on to me, and I hope they never do."
Most of you think that 2010 is not the year of Taylor, but is it the year of Betty? Who wins your vote for Entertainer of the Year (or would you choose someone else entirely)?
