Sienna Miller hit the red carpet for her fiancé, Tom Sturridge, when she attended the Broadway premiere of his new play, Orphans, in NYC last night. She wasn't the only star who turned out to support the all-star cast, which includes Alec Baldwin and Ben Foster. Other celebrity attendees included Dakota Fanning, Winona Ryder, and Alec's 30 Rock costars Tina Fey and Jane Krakowski, who shared a hug at the afterparty.

Sienna has been spending her time with family in NYC while Tom geared up for his big premiere. Earlier this week, she attended the annual Tribeca Film Festival kickoff party with Tom's sister, Matilda Sturridge, and she also squeezed in a lunch date with her dad and stepmom on Wednesday. Sienna and Tom will spend the next four months in the Big Apple until the play ends in July.

Freaks and Geeks Flashback: 10 Stars Who Appeared on the Show

Judd Apatow's series Freaks and Geeks may have had a short life, but it certainly packs a lot of star power into just 18 episodes. Aside from the stellar central cast that includes James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, and Busy Philipps, the walls of McKinley High School were home to a ton of soon-to-be familiar faces. I recently rewatched the series in all its glory and couldn't believe how many up-and-comers I found. Check 'em out, and watch their Freaks and Geeks scenes.

Movie Preview: The Messenger

We've all seen 'em: those heart-breaking, suspenseful scenes in war movies, when the family of a missing soldier anxiously waits by the window for an update.

We've all seen 'em: those heart-breaking, suspenseful scenes in war movies, when the family of a missing soldier anxiously waits by the window for an update. From Army Wives and beyond, our sympathy naturally gravitates to the friends and family as they take in the news, but what about the soldiers who have to issue the depressing notices?

In The Messenger, Woody Harrelson and Ben Foster star as two soldiers responsible for informing families that their loved ones aren't coming back from the war. As the younger of the two, Foster's character finds himself faced with a moral dilemma when he extends some extra sympathy to one of the widows he meets along the way.

It's refreshing to see Harrelson back in serious mode for a change, and the premise brings a different aspect of war into focus as we learn more about the inner workings of the seemingly stoic men in uniform at all those front doors. The film hits theaters on Nov. 13, and to see the trailer, just read more

Milk Heads Down California Coast

The boys of Milk, James Franco, Emile Hirsch, Sean Penn, and Josh Brolin, stepped out to premiere their movie in LA last night.

The boys of Milk, James Franco, Emile Hirsch, Sean Penn, and Josh Brolin, stepped out to premiere their movie in LA last night. They first walked the red carpet in SF before the election, but Prop. 8 is still a hot topic. Earlier this week, James talked about the close ties between the film and the proposition, saying, "Things [since the '70s] have changed, but with Prop 8, it shows that we are not all the way there. And if Harvey Milk was alive today, there is no doubt he would be fighting Prop 8 as hard as he could. It just shows that this movie isn't just a history lesson. It's showing issues that are still very much alive today." It sounds like the guys brought a lot of passion to their latest project, and maybe their film will open a few eyes when it hits theaters.

The fresh faces of 2007 came out last night for the seventh annual Hollywood Life Breakthrough of the Year Awards in LA. Donald Faison hosted the event that honored stars who made their mark on Hollywood in the past year. Megan Fox, Emile Hirsch, James McAvoy, and Masi Oka were among the honorees while Paul Rudd and Josh Duhamel provided plenty of manjoyment behind the podium as presenters. Award season is officially upon us and we can't help but wonder whether or not any of these new kids on the block are going to follow in Jennifer Hudson's footsteps.

30 Days of Night: Is Your Bejesus Packed and Ready to Go?

Pop was right to suspect me of chickening out of seeing 30 Days of Night — I very nearly did.

Pop was right to suspect me of chickening out of seeing 30 Days of Night — I very nearly did. Normally I enjoy the opportunity to see a horror flick, even if it might give me the creeps for days afterward. However, the trailer for this movie terrified me enough, and I could only imagine what the movie itself would entail. But I bucked up, dragged a friend, and only spent maybe three-quarters of the time curled into a tight, unyielding ball. I'm glad I went, but I was totally right: this movie scared the bejesus out of me.

30 Days of Night brings us to Barrow: a sleepy, isolated town in the northern most part of Alaska on the last day of sunlight before being taken over by darkness for 30 days in the winter. Sheriff Eban Oleman (Mr. Manjoyment himself, Josh Hartnett) really shall we say, "sunk his teeth" into this role. Get it? Okay, to move on, read more

Fall Movie Preview: Oh, the Horror

Well it's September, folks, and the summertime movie season is officially over.

Well it's September, folks, and the summertime movie season is officially over. Now we have a whole new crop of films to check out in the coming chillier months, so in preparation for that, I'm giving you little glimpses of this fall and winter's must-see movies with my Fall Movie Preview series. Today I'm bringing you three titles from the bloody, fright-filled horror genre.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
In this film version of the stage musical, Johnny Depp plays Sweeney Todd, a barber who is wrongfully imprisoned and seeks revenge on the judge (played by Alan Rickman) who sentenced him. Tim Burton directs (naturally) while Sacha Baron Cohen and the ever-commanding Helena Bonham Carter also star. Sweeney Todd's story begins with these ominous words: "Attend the tale of Sweeney Todd./His skin was pale and his eye was odd./He shaved the faces of gentlemen/Who never thereafter were heard of again." The movie, of which some parts were rumored to be cut because they were too gruesome, opens this Christmas.

3:10 to Yuma: Best Western

How does one make a Western film, one of them dusty, twangy pictures of old that don't seem to have a place in today's cinemas, appealing to modern audiences?

How does one make a Western film, one of them dusty, twangy pictures of old that don't seem to have a place in today's cinemas, appealing to modern audiences? Director James Mangold took on incredible challenges with making 3:10 to Yuma, a remake of a 1957 Western which starred Glen Ford and Van Heflin. How to keep viewers interested? How to make them care?

The answer is this: A Western is made appealing to modern audiences by creating a character-driven film, utilizing quick edits and a few dazzling explosions, finding some sexy cowboys, and sticking to the clean, basic plotline of good versus evil. Plain and simple, 3:10 to Yuma is good storytelling made even more captivating by solid performances by the lead actors. In many ways, it's as close to flawless as I've seen in a long time. 3:10 To Christian Bale Everywhere, Yay Handsome

LA got a little more Old West last night with the premiere of 3:10 to Yuma with Christian Bale, Russell Crowe, Ben Foster and the gorgeous Zoe Kravitz.

LA got a little more Old West last night with the premiere of 3:10 to Yuma with Christian Bale, Russell Crowe, Ben Foster and the gorgeous Zoe Kravitz. I wonder how Lenny feels about his 18-year-old daughter being so red carpet lovey dovey with Mr. Foster? There's definitely a shortage of the often-Manjoyable Christian Bale around these parts, but, I'm happy to report, not for long. Not only is he releasing one of this fall's Hot Westerns, but he's hard at work in his Batman suit on The Dark Knight. Check out some new stills, including his hotness and Heath's scariness here. Perhaps his most interesting upcoming gig, however, is as one of the many Bob Dylans in the biopic, I'm Not There. Hey, a lot of Bale? No complaints here.
