Couples Dominate the Star-Studded Premiere of Arrested Development
The cast of Arrested Development were joined by their significant others and a few famous friends when they hosted the premiere of their series's new Netflix episodes in Hollywood yesterday. Portia de Rossi cuddled with wife Ellen DeGeneres on the orange carpet, and the duo chatted with Portia's costars at the event. Meanwhile, Jason Bateman brought his wife, Amanda Anka, to the bash, and David Cross posed with his spouse, Amber Tamblyn. Aubrey Plaza dropped by the premiere's afterparty and talked with friend and The To Do List costar Alia Shawkat, who also posed alongside Michael Cera. One celebrity who wasn't at the premiere was John Krasinski, who will reportedly have a cameo in Arrested Development's upcoming episodes. No details have been revealed about John's guest appearance, but fans will be able to find out soon enough when all 15 episodes of the show hit Netflix on May 26.
Aubrey Plaza on Her "Awkward" Sex Comedy and Earning an Award That's "Actually Mine"
Aubrey Plaza's dry humor has made her one of the standouts in the cast of Parks and Recreation, but she continues to expand her horizons on the big screen, including her heartfelt turn in last year's Safety Not Guaranteed. Aubrey's accomplishments didn't go unnoticed last night when she picked up CinemaCon's breakthrough performer of the year honor in Las Vegas. Aubrey joked with us about being excited to "hold an award and know that it's actually mine" backstage, where we got more info on her coming-of-age comedy The To Do List. Aubrey plays a teenager in the 1990s who's looking to brush up on her sexual skills and told us her costume for one sex scene consisted of just a pair of undies and a Hillary Clinton t-shirt.

Jessica Chastain showed her support for Hollywood writers at the Writers Guild of America Awards in LA last night, while Lena Dunham snagged an award at the WGA's ceremony in NYC. Lena and her Girls writing team walked away with best new TV series, while Jessica's film Zero Dark Thirty won best original screenplay for Mark Boal. Meanwhile, Ben Affleck's Argo continued its award season sweep by picking up best adapted screenplay for writer Chris Terrio. Megan Fox, Paul Rudd, and the Apatow-Mann Clan Debut This Is 40
Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann, and Megan Fox celebrated the premiere of their new movie, This Is 40, in LA last night. Megan, wearing Roland Mouret, and Paul were joined by their costar Leslie, in a Vionnet dress, and her family. Leslie's husband, Judd Apatow, directed the film, and their two daughters, Maude Apatow and Iris Apatow, play Leslie and Paul's children in the movie, which is loosely billed as a sequel to 2007's Knocked Up. Jason Segel, who is also in the film, attended the premiere but without girlfriend Michelle Williams by his side. Lena Dunham dropped by the event to show some support for Judd, an executive producer on her show, Girls. Lena was spotted goofing around with friend Aubrey Plaza on the red carpet.
This has been a busy few months for Megan since she gave birth to her first child, Noah, on Sept. 27. Megan said that becoming a mom has changed her attitude towards her work. According to Megan, "It changes your perspective about being overly sexual in a film when you have a baby."
Kristen Stewart Goes Sheer to Screen On the Road With Garrett Hedlund
Kristen Stewart and Garrett Hedlund attended an LA screening of On the Road at Sundance Cinemas last night. Also out for the evening were producer Francis Ford Coppola and his son Roman, who posed for pictures with Parks and Recreation star Aubrey Plaza. Kristen and Garrett have been busy talking up their big-screen adaptation of the classic Jack Kerouac novel recently. Last week, they both attended the Variety studio to chat about the picture.
On the Road just got a limited release date of Dec. 21 for NYC. It will be in two theaters, the Lincoln Plaza Cinema and the IFC Center, on that date. Kristen recently got an early holiday present thanks to her big year of filmmaking — she ranked on The Hollywood Reporter's list of the most powerful women in Hollywood.
Watch Charlie Sheen in the Crazy Trailer For A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III
The trailer for A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III has been released, and to be honest, the wacky comedy feels a little more like a glimpse inside the mind of Charlie Sheen. The actor plays the titular Charles, a guy who rides around in a car painted with eggs and bacon on the side, falls in love with a girl who is also part of an all-female Native American tribe, and seeks romantic advice from an afro-rocking Jason Schwartzman and a puzzled-looking child. Oh, and Bill Murray is there, too.
If this feels kind of Wes Anderson-esque to you, there's good reason for that. The film is written, directed, and produced by Roman Coppola, Anderson's frequent collaborator. While I'm not hot on Sheen, I do love Schwartzman and Murray. The movie is set to open in February, but you can watch the trailer after the jump.
Katy Perry Gets Honored at a Star-Studded Trevor Live Benefit
Katy Perry, in Marchesa, joined Amy Poehler for the Trevor Project's annual benefit, Trevor Live, in LA last night. The bash is organized each year to raise money for outreach efforts that help lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender young people in crisis. Amy had her Parks and Recreation ladies Rashida Jones and Aubrey Plaza by her side. Katy, meanwhile, said hello inside to friends like Jesse Tyler Ferguson and the director Adam Shankman. Anna Kendrick and Zoe Saldana also hit the red carpet.
Glee was well represented inside the bash, with stars Matthew Morrison, Naya Rivera, and Chris Colfer turning out. Revenge had plenty of celebs on hand too, including Ashley Madekwe, Christa B. Allen, Connor Paolo, and Gabriel Mann. They all turned out to support the cause, and also honor Katy Perry. She received a special accolade at the show, her second of the weekend. On Friday, Katy also attended NYC's Billboard Women in Music lunch to pick up another statue.
